R60 2012 Countryman on order!
If OL says delivery on 9/22 does that mean the day my CM gets to the dealer or is delivered to me? We have been dealing with Princeton MINI and they have been great throughout the entire process. We started looking in April and placed our order Mid July.We had gone to Mt Laurel and waited. When the got us an MA I knew more about MINI's than he did so we walked.
I'm becoming more and more disgusted/disappointed with my MA. When I asked him a couple weeks ago about how long I was looking at having to wait for my CM, he estimated "a month after production date for it to be at the distribution center, then another 2 1/2 weeks after that for it to get the dealership and then delivered to you...so you should have it at the beginning of October."
According to the ship's schedule, the car won't even be at the DC until 10/5.
It's one thing to give a longer estimate and have the surprise of earlier arrival, but it's pretty crappy to give a shorter one and have it be off by at least 2 weeks, if not more.

This just in from my MA. Don't even understand how it's possible. Must be some software glitch with the ordering system.
"The bench is not even available to order until late Nov production and that is if it doesn't get any delays so you wouldn't see them hit dealers until at least late Jan 2012, it is also only going to be available with a full center rail,it appears (currently) ......*so i do not think we will see much uptake on that personally, until they change that ."
Say wha'?

The full center rail comment makes no sense, there are pics out there of CM's with the rear bench and there was no center rail..I don't see how its possible either as it would have to go through the bench, and where would the "center" person put their feet??
I wish I'd of read your thread before I ordered my 2012 CM S ALL4, as I would have tried to actually negotiate, instead of just accepting whatever price they pooped out - ooops I mean popped !. I'm also annoyed because the MA didn't show me the complete option list for 2012, and only changed my 2011 configuration after the fact to conform to 2012, although there wasn't much else I would have changed anyway, although I would have considered the bench seat. All in all, I feel like my MA could have done a better job walking me through the car build process before I placed the order - starting with the anthracite headliner thingamajig. I also understand there is something called a "MINI Yours" option series for 2012, it would have been nice to have had the option to consider this before ordering. My dealer is MINI of Morristown in NJ BTW, and I could've gone to another dealer if they didn't want to negotiate, too.
FYI, I believe the MINI Yours is not available in the Countryman, so no loss there. I knew about the 2012 options before my MA even got back to me and I knew what I needed to add to fix package changes. Some MA's are no better than we are knowledge wise.
So you are saying I should try re-negotiating the price right before I go in to take delivery of the car? I'm not sure I will have the cahones to do that when I'm now in tracking mode, and watching that darn picture of the bremer port to see if i can see my bremer. How does anyone catch a glimpse of their car in that picture anyway, I can't even distinguish what kind of cars are sitting on that long train, much less if my bremer is on there or not....my bremer is at the port since yesterday, and there is a ship leaving on 9/21 - I wonder if hewill be on it (yes, I named him after the port).
Just a general question, if anyone can answer...?
I'm still roughly a month away from taking delivery, but I'm trying to pick out which accessories I want (does anyone else feel like a kid in the candy store when they do this?). I've seen that the floor mats are included w/the car. I have a set of rubber floor mats from my 07 Cooper S and I'm wondering if they'll fit in the Countryman or if I have to get Countryman-specific rubber mats. Does anyone know how interchangeable this stuff is?

I can almost feel that steering wheel.

For those of us that have docked in Port Hueneme, how long do you think it will stay there before heading out for their last leg?
Patience has not been given to me during this process, I thought for sure I would earn it some how but...nope, none has been given.

The Toscana docked yesterday in Port Hueneme. It has already left there and is on it's way to Tacoma. Any of the cars dropped off there could take a week or more to get to their final destination. Ours is coming to Loveland, CO and will hopefully arrive there mid to late next week.
My MA told me they'll probably spend 3-4 days at the VDC. For those of us in Hawaii, it has to get on another ship to Hawaii which will take 10-15 days. That's another 2 - 3 weeks for me! Looks like I'll be the last one to get his Countryman out of this first batch of 2012s.
My MA emailed me today and said mine will be loaded on the truck in Georgia today for transport to Birmingham, but is unconfirmed? he said mini birmingam sent them a list of priority cars and he is waiting on confirmation that the car is on the truck for trans and will take 1-2 days to arrive. maybe i will get the car next week? waiting is much harder the closer you get to actually having the car!

I took delivery of my 2012 Countryman All Red with Pure Red Colorline on Monday September 19th. It actually arrived at the dealer on Saturday September 17th but was too late in the day for the dealer to have it ready for me.
The owners lounge initially was updated to show estimated delivery to the dealer on September 17th. Then on September 15th, the owner's lounge to show an estimated delivery date of September 15th. My MA was able to confirm that it actually got loaded on the hauler on the 15th. Then the truck went missing until the morning of the 17th. Lastly, today, three days after picking up my Countryman from the dealer, the Owner's lounge now shows that my car is "At your MINI dealer".

Is it getting delivered to you in MT, or are you travelling and driving back?
Luckily we have a couple of trips planned as soon as it gets here so we can break it in right away. The trip back from Denver was nice for the Cooper because we had it almost broken in by the time we got home. This time around, we have the excuse of needing to go out of town to break it in while visiting friends & family.
My Crystal Silver All4 Countryman arrived at the dealership on Loveland CO yesterday afternoon. Hope to pick it up on Friday. Hard to believe it is going to finally come home after a long two month plus wait. Pictures to follow.
