how long is the wait from placing order?

I'm going to be placing a order for a countryman in exactly a month from now. How long does it take from then on to build and ship it here at least on average?

I ordered my countryman S All4 Jan 29, 2011 and it was shipped Feb 16 from Bremerhaven, arrived at the Baltimore port Mar 3 and at the dealer Mar 12. The dealer said it took longer at the port due to installation of the driving lamps and sport stripes - so overall about 6 weeks

I would say on average it is 6-8 weeks. I have seen folks take a little longer too. Depends on a variety of factors including dealer slots available and if you are on west coast vs east coast docking location, etc.

From what I've seen I'd agree with this timeline as well.

The fastest I've seen is 1 month and I've seen some folks go well beyond 8 weeks...10 to 12 and a few who are in limbo waiting for reasons unexplained. A great deal will depend on whether or not your dealer has open production slots they can put you in for the build, the port you car is shipping to and some good old fashioned luck.

Well as of today [03/25], four weeks and no production date or VIN assigned. According to SA, slotted for a 4/14 build week. A week to get through the factory. a week at the factory completed lot, 2 weeks to get from Austria to the states, a week at the port. another week to be delivered.

I'll be suprised if it is here by the end of May. It's my wifes and she is bein g worse than I was when I had mine built......

My order sheet(3/17) indicates a production date of 2011/04/14 as well.
I was hoping that was just a default entry but it's looking like the actual date. Is that how you are determining it?

I ordered yesterday and my order sheet says "scheduled for daily" for status but blank for "actual Production date". It does have a production # listed also. Just checked out Owner's Lounge and like the MA said it will take a few days to update the info. The thing I was surprised about is that I ordered an S but not ALL4 and the production slot was an S with ALL4. I thought they would keep the ALL4 slots separate, guess not.

It all depends on the allocations from your dealer and how early you get into the queue -- look at people's signature lines, and you'll see the range of delivery times.

Just checked Owner's Lounge again (1055pm EST about 28 hrs after ordering) and see the base model and color is updated on the website.

How do I check the line by line features on OL?

EDIT: think I found it; it says "Factory ordered options" but totally empty. So I guess not everything is updated on OL yet.

That's correct.

You might as well ignore the OL features - they are very frequently incorrect. Get your MA to verify your order with a printout and trust that.

It's not the greatest I agree and lags behind in production schedule but our order information was spot on when I signed into the O/L with our Production # and checked the Factory Ordered Options. That was just a few days after receiving our Production #.

To miniwpbear, Being it's Sunday I'd give it another day. If not as jmdor said, call your MA.

~Cheers

The best thing is to have a printout of your order. I got that when I placed my order and meticulously reviewed each line item and caught two errors that were corrected. The printout is your best proof.
