Jack is finally home!

After 11 long weeks, Jack our 2011 MCS Countryman All4 is here!

This won't be a huge post as I am headed to work and was out playing on the road too long last night to do it before bed... Good sign I'd say!!!

First impression: The blacked out exterior/interior with exterior chrome package is impressive. Looks really sharp. I was a bit worried about the chrome mirrors but they really look great in person.

Interior! LOVE the lounge leather, seats are really comfortable. The leather is really soft and fit us well. The anthracite top liner is the best thing ever, you don't even notice you have a top liner at all.. Just disappears.

Mini connected is fantastic! LOTS TO LEARN... But, I managed to make a few calls, find an address, and use internet radio, as well as my ipod and satellite radio... Very glad I pulled the trigger for the Nav, it really completes the purchase... Sadly, the armrest cradle DOES NOT support connected. The y-cable is required. Hopefully they will get that taken care of so I won't have to have my phone flipping around in the center rail.

Driving impression.. After 100 miles of driving, the getrag tranny is amazing, easy to use and smooth as silk... I did manage to pop the clutch a few times, its just so different from my hard to push clutch in my 96 Z3.. SO glad I got the sports suspension, feels great even over rough roads. Pirelli RFT's are not too loud at this point, i'll keep you posted. Sport button really makes a difference in the steering... interior lighting is super fun and not too distracting. Engine is quiet and smooth at idle... More to come... I'll attach some photos... Just from my phone but will do for now!

Happy motoring!!
Ry

Great looking Countryman! Congratulations! My husband ordered Pure White but it was a tough decision between it and all black.

Me either, I drive one of the busiest stretches of roads during rush hour, and all over CNJ, and NNJ on the week ends, and the only ones I've seen were at the Princeton Mini dealership when I was testing/ordering, and in front of Prestige Mini when I head up to VT.

Thanks!!! Didn't get much time behind the wheel today, busy at work.. but did get a little tear around town to the bank etc... What a dream, it is so smooth, loving the web radio. Has anyone figured out how to do the google send to mini yet? I have tried and tried.. But I could have fudged it up, I downloaded the most current version of iphone software just before I picked up the car.. May have to wait for the new version of connected software.. Only peeve, that I couldn't get the armrest cradle.. I wish it worked with connected, I hope there is a fix..otherwise there is just nowhere to put your phone.. It just flops around.. Gotta find a fix..

Motor on!!

You couldn't 'get' the armrest cradle OR you got it but it doesn't work? Did you see the post referencing the three different models and the advice to get the one that allows full media? Let me see if I can find the original poster's link. I think it was Geoffrey (and his blue CM with flat black viper stripes). I found that cradle for $180 but haven't ordered it yet.

Well, at least rumor has it the iPhone 5 will have a slightly bigger screen, but the outside dimensions will be the same, so hopefully it will work.
