Stubby Antenna Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a short/stubby antenna that fits on the Countryman? I really like the look of this one but I'm pretty sure it won't fit.

How about the one from MINI? Look under "exterior design"

Will the ALTA ones fit? Looks like it would be the same fitting.

Cravenspeed has one for $20 and they make pretty good stuff. It's the one I ordered, though I'm waiting for the car to attach it to...

Not sure how it affects AM/FM reception...

Yeah, I am going that route too.

The one I have now is metal and not flexible.....I have one of those soft car washing brushes at the end of an expandable rod like at the self serve car washes, and maybe it's just me but every time I wash the car and hit it with the brush I cringe like someday I am gonna snap it off at the base of the threads.

The rubber ducky style shortie one MINI has now is on my short list for modding this week, and maybe a cabin air filter for a spring fresh ride.

+1 (or is that plus two?)

The MINI stubbie works great and I also recommend it at $33.
Especially if you have a roof box or kayak on board (as I do, just not at the same time )
We've experienced no problems thus far with AM, FM or SIRIUS/XM reception. It works better in places my former vehicles barely got signal with stock antennas (or even the one provided by SIRIUS) like next to a huge brick building downtown or going under bridges...

Makes you wonder why they don't just put the stubby on standard...

On the antenna replacement, does it matter if the car has GPS or not? I've seen that mentioned on other sites but not on the OEM site? Anyone know? Thanks.

As they are both MIINI, I'd say they are, if not the same, very similar. Also, as MINI is supplying them, they should not interfere with the nav. Parts department should have that information. Hopefully. Maybe.

Not much to it - - - Unscrew old one*, screw in new one. Stand back and admire.

*Only the mast gets changed, the base stays the same.
