Trust me they are totally used to all of us calling and are very cool about it. Super nice people.

and, apparently 0 gets you to customer relations when repeatedly saying "CUSTOMER RELATIONS" doesn't actually do anything.

So now I guess I'm better equipped: I'll dial 1-866-ask-MINI, wait to hear "Roadside Assistance", hit 2 then dial my production order number, then hit 1 and then 0

The nice man I spoke to said that Chase's birthday was 1/20/11 and that he's awaiting transport to the port of exit.

Oddly enough, the robot-voice has told me 3 different things in the last two days: "In transit", "at the port waiting for a ship" and "released to carrier for transport to port of exit"

Hope I'm on the right page. I ordered my Countryman All4 on Dec. 11 and it is on the Tirranna heading to Baltimore right now! Arrival is to be Feb 4th. Woohoooo!

Congrats!!

My CM completed production this past Monday and I'm hoping it makes it on the Independence this Friday....might be wishful thinking though.

Yeah. Mine was done on 1/19. But I don't necessarily have high hopes for the ships coming in the next two days. Partially because Robo-ASK-MINI keeps giving me "released to carrier and waiting for transportation to the port of exit". I don't know if they update the status once it GETS to the port of exit or not.

The status does update when it leaves Graz and again when it reaches Bremerhaven and again when it gets loaded on a vessel. Seemingly depends on the ASK-MINI rep that you get if they are able to tell you precise status. When I went through this process, I was given myriad answers and only some were accurate. I found that once production has completed, you really need to rely on your MA and ask for the status code. And once you do get loaded on a vessel, your MA should be able to provide the vessel name and ETA. Once you have the name, there are numerous ways to track progress.

Well, my hopes for my CM to board one of the ships leaving this week are over, I think. It completed production on 1/20, and for the last week the status was "released to carrier and waiting for transportation to the port of exit."

Today the status changed to "Your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit." There are a lot of ships it could board next week, so I am sure it will be on one of those.

Did you get this from OL, ask mini (robo or human) or your MA?

Originally this was from ASK MINI Robo. I just called to confirm with a human and she said that all the information that she had was that it was released to a carrier (didn't have any information on it being tansported).

Peculiar thing, though, prior to this when I talked to a person at ASK MINI I was always asked my production number. This time she asked my name only and wanted to confirm my phone number and had the production number already available. Does anyone know if their sysems track my phone number when I call, or do you think she pulled up the information by my name? I can't believe that she was able to use my name as the information seemed to already be available to her.

Don't want to rain on your parade but my car sat at the port for almost 2 weeks before being loaded. I hope yours gets handled nore expeditiously but be prepared for anything.

I just placed my daily call to 1-866-ask-MINI. Brent said that Chase (well, he didn't call him that), is now sitting in Bremerhaven, waiting to get on a boat.

He also said that Chase has been assigned a boat, but he could not tell me which boat, so I'll bother my MA for that info.

So, now back to waiting some more!

On 1/22, my MA told me that my car left the previous night on it's way to the port. I just called Ask MINI rob who said "Your car is currently being transported to the port of exit." How long does it take to get from Graz to Bremerhaven? Should I already be there?

I got the same type email from my MA. He said it was on the way to the port. But ASK MINI says they don't have that info. Just that it's been released to carrier. Not sure if the MA has more info (a status code ASK MINI doesn't have) or if they are just assuming once it's released to carrier, it's "on it's way to the port" even if that means waiting in a parking lot behind the factory!

I hope it makes it on there for you. It's tough waiting, but I'm sure they will be worth waiting for! Good luck!

So robo ask mini says "your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit." So it obviously missed the boats I was hoping for, and it will end up I guess sailing around 2/3 and getting to Baltimore on 2/18. Bummer I will be away from 2/22 through 2/27, so it will likely sit at the dealer a few days. Was hoping it would arrive around 2/10. Whatever. 8 weeks is what I was told, and I ordered on 12/26.

Robo MINI status changed from At Port to In Transit. I must be on the Torino
or the Independence II. VIN is not listed yet.

Are you checking for any Countryman VINs or just yours? If you just enter WMWZC (or even WMWZ) it should display all Countryman. Then see if the vessels you are looking for are listed. If they are and your VIN is not listed, then more than likely you missed the boat (literally) unless the VINs are still propagating. If no VINs show up for the vessels in question, they haven't posted yet and you still have a chance.

Looks like we might get on the same boat. Ours completed on 1/24 and seems to have sat in Graz all week. I'm hoping it makes it to port in time for the 2/3-2/4 ships. Ours is unloading in Baltimore as well. On monday (1/24) our MA said it was done and estimated 3 weeks till delivery. I told him he was nuts. Looks like I am right.

Aaahhh very cool. How in the world do you guys figure all this stuff out. I did that check and it looks like the Torino has it's cargo posted, but not the Independence II. So unless Ask MINI is wrong, that is my boat. Will have to wait till the VIN's post or maybe I will just pester my MA. I don't even want to talk to him though. I asked him to update me on my status a few days ago (the first time I asked him so far) and he asked if I called Ask Mini. I said yea, but they don't offer any updates after it gets put on the ship. He then says he doesn't know any more than them. I didn't feel like pointing out that he is either very stupid or thinks that I am, so I just let it go.

The nice girl I spoke to at ask mini said our CM has "load assignment". She didn't know if that meant it was at the dock or on a ship. Anybody know what that means?

It means your car has been assigned to a vessel but not yet loaded on the vessel.

I pretty sure it means it's on it way, in progress of getting loaded..in either case it's been assigned ...just have to see to which vessel unless you can narrow it down by looking at the schedules.

I lost track of mine on the 25th..It's on the Vessel Faust..somewhere crossing the high seas out of range of any tracking stations...anxiously awaiting a signal

At least ASK MINI is accurate. MA says car hasn't yet gotten to port.
