And now the Oberon is moored at it's second and last stop in NY. Not sure if it unloads at both or is picking up more cars or fuel/supplies at the second berth.

That's not where there the VDC is located. That was at the first stop.

The Morning Carina is scheduled to get to The Dominican Republic on it's route to the Panama Canal and California today. Only 9 more days until the VDC. Should land in Oregon by the 21st. Yahoo. Anyone want to buy my 04 VW Touareg V8?

The Morning Carina (With my ALL4) is back on Marinetraffic approaching the Panama Canal on it's voyage to California. Looks like it is sort of in a holding pattern waiting for it's turn. Supposed to reach port on 1/12...should have Maynard 10 days or so after that. Yahoooooooo!

My VIN posted

My VIN finally posted to the WW site. It is on the Tijuca scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on 1/15/11. The problem is my MA says my car is due to arrive on 1/8/10 in Baltimore on the Independence II???? Is the MA right or is the VIN number and Wallenius Wilhemlmson cargo tracker right?? Still awaiting answer.

Question Tracking help please

Looks like my Countryman All4 is on the "Undine" - says it was received at terminal in Bremerhaven. Does that make sense? Are these carted from England to Germany for shipment? The marinetraffic.com site indicates that the ship has left the port today and due in Zeebrugge, Belgium tomorrow and Southhampton on 1/7. Would it not be loaded at Southhampton? Then it is due in NY port on 1/16.
I cannot find the cargo ship Undine on the marinetraffic site - did one of you highjack it to get my special cargo?

Countryman are assembled at the Magna-Steyr plant in Graz, Austria not in Southampton with other MINIs. They are transported from Graz to Bremerhaven for export. When tracking the Undine, make sure you tell MarineTraffic.com to search all vessels not just those in range. It should find it.

Looking forward to my von Trapp Family Mini Countryman!

Update: My True Blue/White top with cold/sport/premium/Mini connected is on the Undine/Sweden and just spent the day in Southampton picking up some little Mini brothers and sisters for the trip to Halifax and then NY/NJ! All I got to do is figure out how I'm going to finally dress the four corners before it gets here!

Tracking ship away from ports?

I was able to follow the Undine/SWE from Germany to Southhampton and into the Celtic Sea, but not thereafter. Is my Mini S CM at the bottom of the ocean? Is tracking only available near ports?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Vesseltracker.com will send you email updates when the ship comes in to range, moors at a berth, departs, changes destination and eta and more. Requires registration but is free.

The Morning Carina (With "Maynard" - My ALL4) is about to hit US waters as it passes San Diego for Hueneme. Hopefully, it will breeze through the VDC and be on a truck to Oregon in a matter of days. The final wait is excruciating.

You west coasters have it rough. The Morning Carina arrived in Bremerhaven several days before the Oberon and your car is still at sea while mine is shivering out in the garage. Hang in there!

Maybe so, but the huge bonus is that we get to live in the West...worth the wait as far as I am concerned.

I talked with Rasmussen (Portland) today. Our car should arrive in the US tomorrow (14th). Should be available for pickup on the 22nd.

Sure hope we can get them the 22nd. I have been told that it depends on how long it is at the distribution center after they are unloaded today. The ship docked at 6am in California this morning. It can take up to 8 days to get through the distribution center, then 2 days on a truck and 1-2 days at dealership to get detailed and inspected. Fingers crossed for a quick trip. Maybe I will see you in Portland next Saturday...i'm coming from Bend.
