Talking On the ship to USA

The USA bound Countryman are now on the way. My VIN shows as cargo on the ship INDEPENDENCE 2, it left Bremerhaven the 14th and is due into Baltimore on 26 November
IF you do not know how, go to att.2wglobal.com
you will go thru 3 security boxes, click yes, then enter your complete VIN as cargo and select trace.

Congratulations! That is most excellent news!

Is your car an All4? Does it have either MINI Connected or Nav? Which wheels?

I ask because my production date keeps slipping and my dealer says it has to do with parts constraints, particularly on All4s.

We ordered an ALL4, so an S w/nav, connected & all of that stuff but NOT optional wheels/tires. I want to use Tire Rack or ? as the premium to upgrade was to much. It was built week 44, seems to have moved thru the pipeline as expected. It is fun watching the ship move, last I looked it was off the coast of The Netherlands, Amsterdam area.

Really? My dealer told me that any orders that included Nav would only be for December build. It was good because I didn't really need Nav and saved the cash. I did get Connected which I'm really excited about.

MINI USA has stated that Countryman with MINI Connected or MINI Connected with Nav will have November build available. My order is for an All4 with MINI Connected with Nav and standard wheels yet my order has slipped from week 45 now to week 47 production. No specific reason why. My dealer does believe however that it could go in to production any day.

I've almost given up looking for a reason why my order has slipped and others with All4 and Nav ordered after mine have gone in to production.

I have a real basic question, do you have to create a login to use the tracking at this website?

Thanks,
Don

To track the MINI, there is no login required, there is a Track and Trace box, just enter the VIN as cargo and hit enter. Hope it shows.
As to the specs and delays some are having, that is rough. We ordered the 7L5, Conn with Nav, Cold Wx pkg and the Convience pkg along with color and interior stuff. No delay and everything was confirmed. We did take the 2P9 wheel/tire set which I believe is the default.
We will know in a couple of weeks.

Thanks, it appears I have not been loaded. Guess it is time to bug the dealer GM once again.

Congratulations TruMini! This is great news!

Meanwhile my car is still just a lump of parts and a production sequence... But I'm not bitter

Well it appears Mr. Bickles has company. Just received an update with my status from the dealer vehicle inquiry system.

Vessel is Queen Sapphire but we show an est. arrival of December 9, 2010 in Port Hueneme.

Close enough.

I keep trying to get my wife to name her MINI, I have suggested a couple.

Her MINI, so she get's to name her. She was excited it has made the ship.

I wonder how many Countryman will get dropped off at South Hampton....

Now the wait, wait and wait.

Mike, bring that Countryman to Wig and Pen in IC for our planned Meet-n-Eat in January (a Saturday TBD). We want to ogle it.

I think I can do that. I just looked at the ships location, the 'highway' in the ocean is very curved. They are now rounding the Western edge and going back North. As long as they make Port next week, Oh Well!
My Chicago dealer tells me that I am the 1st car of their orders inbound, no reason I can figure out, even ahead of the sales manager. Maybe I need to buy a lottery ticket this week...

I have been following the INDEPENDENCE 2 since the Countryman was loaded Monday in Bremerhaven. A stop was made in Southampton to load, I presume, more MINI's. USA bound, the ship got to the Southwest toe of England and turned North and is now off the coast of Ireland at Belfast.
I am no sailor but the North route in November??

Is not this what the TITANTIC did???

Due in port the day after Thanksgiving
