I'm genuinely concerned. It is now +10 days since production complete and status is still 182. How could it not have left Graz yet? I am officially baffled.
I called ASK MINI around 3 and got a message that the car was in transit to the port of exit. I then called my MA and she said she had no update since last Saturday. She also said since this is something they've never dealt with before, since the cars aren't coming from Oxford, it's a waiting game. Apparently the lines of communication are a little rusty right now. Hopefully it will get better once they've had a few waves of cars transported to Germany.
I will keep my eyes on the VIN's listed on the Manon in hope that our car was placed on it and that the status has just not been updated.

Mine still doesn't show up on the ships log and the ship is off the coast of San Diego!

The QS is showing as being off shore to the west of the Channel Islands, due to dock at 6AM.

Up at my dealer this eve, they show the 5 CMs they have coming in on the 17th.

One of those 5 is ours.

I did pick up a paper copy of the newly released accessory list with prices. Man are those 19 inch wheels proud.

It is going to be a long 7 or 8 days.

Don

I got an email from my MA yesterday about the Queen coming into port today. He says Mr. Bickles could be at the VDC anywhere between 5-8 days.
That sounds like an awful long time!
Marinetraffic.com shows the Queen Sapphire at Port Hueneme.
Has anybody found a web cam?

Unhappy Panama Canal Wait?

So I'm on day 3 that my Counrtyman has been sitting outside the Panama Canal waiting to go through. Anyone know how long is normal? I expected the Cygnus Leader would be cruising up the west coast by now.

Falstaff is off Spain bucking 20 knot head winds which has slowed her to 17 from 19 knots.

She finally went through the Panama Canal tonight. Got to watch it go through on the web cams. Hopefully she'll make good time from here on out.

Finally got around to getting the pics to somewhere I could post them from. Took these screen shots from the webcams as Cygnus Leader went through the big ditch this weekend.

Did you get your cars yet? I just want to let you know that the car is so worth the wait. I can't help driving it everywhere and I have already 300 miles in 4 days!

Hope everyone gets their countryman soon!!!

No Countryman yet, I suspect early next week, it will be a nice Christmas present, if it makes it.

Does you VIN show up on the Wallenius site, or did you get that info through your dealer?

EDIT: Just called and the rep said ours had left the port in Germany "sometime last week," which I assume would be the Manon, though he wasn't able to give me a ship. Which is weird, because I am still not showing up on the Wallenius cargo tracker (though many Countryman on the Manon are).

My MA still hasn't gotten an update on his system.
The way the system seems to work, the next update will be the one showing that its on the truck!

The MINIUSA site is SOOO SLOOOWWW that, while ours has been in our hands since last week, the site says it is still at the VDC .
Call your MA, he will be more up to date.

Oberon is on it's way as of 2:05pm GMT. Now we can start checking VIN #'s for the next few days.

Indeed. Hope we call made it on board as having to wait for the next vessel will be such a letdown. Considering my run of luck, I should prepare myself... BUT AT LEAST MY EAGLES BEAT THE GIANTS! (sorry for going off-topic but that was one amazing come back!)

On WW lines mine showed up within 30 minutes of being loaded. They use scanners and scan the vins as they load.

Thanks! I'll check periodically. So far the latest VINs to show up are discharges from the Manon in Halifax on 12/19.

Have you been following the Waiting at Port thread about missing stickers that have been holding up cars. Hope that didn't hold them up from being loaded on the latest ships.

Update on the Sticker Issue
My dealer just informed me of the following:

"The font was the wrong size on the window labels for some vehicles. The cars that are being held up are vehicles that are at the port already. You are still showing in 193 status but a Countryman that was piggybacking status changes with yours just changed status. I will check again tomorrow and let you know."

So the wait continues...
