Falstaff should be pulling up to wait its turning going through the ditch. How long did does it normally take. I boat mine had been following has been on the hook 18 hours now. Shouold be showing up on the detail map in next hour. Then wait for passage. MINI did send me an e-mail yesterday to get my preprogram preferences seetings. Door luck unluck, radio stations, etc. Pretty cool.
No, it will keep updating all day and more likely tomorrow too.

I just watched a special on the ditch last week and they said boats can sometimes be waiting for weeks depending on where they are in line. I told my wife about Tunaball waiting for his to go through the other day and how long their RORO remained anchored.

I am hoping we have a reservation or like when your tip equals the magic number in Vegas and they walk you past everyone to the front row. Fingers crossed. I hope that time in penciled into the transit time already.

In the Cargo ID box, enter in a partial VIN (WMWZC5) then hit the TRACK button, this will give you the current VIN list or you can just enter your VIN.
You may need to page through to find the Oberon. Just look for CA050-OBE
Good luck.
tracking
So I managed to track the ship when it was close to land on one site (cant recall which) and then once out to sea I have been tracking it on sailwx.info but 12-19 was the last report
Is there another site I can try? - I also registered at digital seas and this only had info when it was still close to the UK shore (though did find out that it supposedly docked for one hour 15 miles from where I grew up which was cool)
So to reiterate the question any good ideas/links on other tracking sites?
really close now I hope .....

Sailwx is the other site but it normally updates every 6 hours and you go to the faster map when close to shore. It fun tracking them. Falstaff has gone through the first set of locks. Projected for 11PM arrive in CA on the 29th which is only a half a day late. Unload on the 30th and the untrackable wait begins.
Onboard Oberon Update I
Oberon ETA to NY just changed to 1/2/11. First noticed when looking at my VIN on the Track and Trace screen then confirmed with online published WW schedule.
Oberon is a fast vessel (I "watched" it overtake other RoRos that left port hours earlier) so I guess it could make up some time at sea. Not sure if the port physically closes over the New Year holiday or not.

Not sure why it didn't take the shortcut, right turn on its way out, instead of going around the Isle of Wight.

Large shipping vessels can not cut the corners. They have to stay in the shipping lanes iun deep water. If they did make a short cut and hit something or ran a ground it woudl be there last trip. They all stay pretty much on the same course. Also these ships have a lot more speed tjhey just donn't use it to save fuel. Crossing today are sometimes slower than when the sailed across because they were all about speed and time. Now it is money because fuel costs money. Wind was free.
