Tomorrow ( Saturday, March 24 ), I will be going to purchase a MCS 2007. The dealer told me on the phone that there were 5 to choose from that met my specifications as having the Premium, Sport and Convenience packages. The colors to select from are red, black, dark silver, and one of the two blues - but not sure which one.

Although I haven't seen it yet, I am tending towards the dark silver exterior. One of these has a red lounge seat, and the other has a black lounge seat. Are the "lounge" leathers liked by those who have them? I believe the dealer said the red car had a red and black seat.

I will reply here on Saturday after the trip to the dealer to report as to my success or failure at completing the deal and to mention which one I decided on.

Any suggestions on what to check when accepting a new MCS for delivery? It's funny that I have bought bigger ( no kidding ), faster and more expensive cars before, but am more excited about this purchase than any of the other one's I have made. I started looking at the Mini's a year or so ago, but wanted to wait for the 07.

Hey, Paul! How excited you must be!!! From what I've seen on the various forums, everyone really likes the upgraded lounge leathers. Dark Silver with red leather interior sounds very cool. Good luck choosing amongst them! lol:

Oh, and don't forget to take plenty of pix to record the delivery, then post some up here for us to enjoy!

 

I have black lounge leather seats, they're great, very comfortable and supportive as well as looking great.

 

Thanks for the replies guys. I just spoke to the sales manager, and it looks like he is willing to make it happen. The dealership that has the cars is an hours drive from here and I will know soon enough. Red? Dark silver, blue? I am going to figure this out on the fly!

The deed is done. Picked up a 2007 MCS Chili Red with black roof. Interior has seats with red leather bolsters and red trim on the dash, piano black, anthracite liner. Premium, sport and convenience packages and limited slip.
