Aloha!

Aloha from Hawaii!

I've been in love with the Mini since seeing The Italian Job (the original film) when I was a kid. I am now looking to buy a new car as I've been retired from motorcycle racing due to the loss of our track last year. My RS125s are now in the hands of a racer in South Carolina.

I've been trying to find a manual trans in a MCS convertible without success. The local dealer brings in a few manuals, seemingly just to have some low cost units. They don't have any of the options that I want. So, now I'm wondering if the 6-spd Agitronic is any good.

And, can someone tell me if it's possible to get two golf bags (pro style) into the car through the convertible's trunk lid? Or, do you just chuck them in the back seat?

Mahalo!

Good luck finding the car you're looking for.

Hmmm. 2 pro-style bags in the back of a cabrio? Might be tough. not a lot of maneuvering room through the tailgate... even when you flip up the back of the top... And I'm not sure on length... better try it at the dealer...

Pro size golf bags are smaller in diameter aren't they? If they are I think you could get them in thru the boot opening but I too am not sure if there would be enough depth from the front seat back thru to the boot for them but if ya want me to measure something just tell me what

Thanks for the welcome. I test drove an Agitronic yesterday and checked the opening for the golf bag access; I'd have to remove the privacy shelf in order to get the bags in through the boot. (Pro style bags are the big ones you see on TV with sponsor logos. I hate the logos but smaller bags don't have enough space.) The salesman said to chuck them in the back seat and use the seat belt to restrain them. That would work but would reduce the vision to the rear, which is already limited due to the rear seat bars.

geez... you want a MINI and you want to play golf? <just kidding>

i don't have a cabrio (and I don't play golf) so can't help much, but what if you put the two rear seats down and slide them in to the boot that way? not sure if that's any better than going through the rear gate.

welcome to NAM!
