MiniWorld December 2004
Aloha all-
Just picked up the December issue of the British publication MiniWorld at Borders Books in Ward Center.
Excelent write up's on the Classic Mini's including a customized 1978 Clubman, 1968 Mk2 Mini Moke, and a great interview with Paddy Hopkirk.
For us new MINI folks there is also a 32-page special insert with lot's of MINI info and a section on engine tuning upgrades and parts supplier addresses/e-mail etc.
Good stuff and not a bad price at $7.75.
I hope one of these days we are treated to a US MINI magazine of the same quality as this and other import mags.
Aloha!

yep, i saw that insert on aftermarket upgrade options for bmw minis this past weekend at barnes and nobles. i've also been checking all the other car mags for their reviews on the '05 minis and especially the jcw mini. i've already lost count, but basically every review i've read so far on '05 jcw mini has raved about how much of a blast their test drive was. some even had the jcw suspension on, and those that did remarked about how they feel that the suspension was just right on and that it even further refined the power upgrade.
i believe it was either autoweek or automobile that did a review of the new gti and included a comparison to other "hot hatches", which included the jcw mini. basically, it was no contest, as the jcw mini won easily. again, it wasn't the most powerful car, but it was simply the funnest one to drive.

UPDATE!- Stopped by Borders Ward Center last night and all the copies of the December issue of MiniWorld are gone, zilch, kaput, history, outta here, hasta la gone-o baby!
I was at Barnes several times last week and didn't see any there or any copies of New MINI magazine either.
Aloha!
