Pearl Harbor Auto Show
Aloha you dedicated HMMC Members!-
Here's a quick heads-up on an upcoming FUN event!
Third Annual Pearl Harbor Car Show
Sunday, June 12 2005 9AM to 5PM
Moanalua Naval Exchange Mall Parking Lot
http://www.greatlifehawaii.com/Activ...ty.asp?id=3005
Trophy's awarded in six different categories and a best in show. The show will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with early registration from 8:00 a.m. there is no cost to enter your vehicle.
Along with the car show a full day of activities for the whole family is planned. There will be live entertainment, games for the kids, a rock climbing wall, food court and beer garden, and a sound off.
For the past two years the show has been a real success and a great deal of fun. Last year we had over 130 cars competed and organizers expect to be even larger this year.
HMMC members wanting to participate will have to meet prior to 8:00 AM(probably 7:30 AM) and convoy over to the NEX parking lot.
My thoughts are to meet at the old Moanalua Shopping Center parking lot off of Valkenburg Street (I'll scout out a location and post it here) rally the MINI's and boogey on over.
Unfortunately I will be off island but I'll be there in spirit!
I'll post more updates as I work out arrangements.
Aloha!

Only about a week away.
Although there are several events on June 12th everyone is welcome to just drop by and visit for the Pearl Harbor Auto Show.
You don't need to enter and if you do you can stay however long you want and then leave.
I'll likely be there all day if I can so just come over- there are plenty of things going on for the family- stuff to do, things to see, games, rock climbing, food, rides, and the Car show.
Anybody planning to enter besides me? If not we can just meet at the Navy Exchange parking lot first thing in the morning about 8- 830am. You can always call me.

Aloha folks!
I spoke to Dennis at NEX who is organizing the event yesterday to get an update.
He has an area reserved for HMMC. He tried to explain it to me that it is along the back wall mauka of the stage near the bounce castle.
He said he would be happy to meet with someone next week to go over the location.
He is still suggesting meeting prior to 8:00 AM and caravaning over.
Once again, I wish I could be there but I'll be off island that week .
Aloha!

Kohu and family, me, and maybe motormouth will be there.
I've invited some others that want to talk about upgrades to come by and visit.
Anyone doing the Petwalk early is invited to come on over afterwards- we'll be there all day.
There will be plenty of things to do, games, food, activities and more. I have a canopy to set up and I'll bring some drinks.
Some sunscreen would be nice-

Aloha folks!-
I'm in Falls Church right now and got an invite from DC Metro MINIs to swing by an autocross event tommorow in Maryland. I'll be driving to Emmitsburg for a week and will try to route by the cross and take some pics.
I have seen some very nice MINIs here including two JCWs, a CR and a PW/B.
For those of you who are familiar with DC traffic and taxi cabs, I give HIGH praise to our MINI brothers and sisters here who have to navigate the streets of Washington.
Have a great time at the Pet Walk and Pearl Harbor Auto Show, wish I could be there!
Hey, KB your post reminded me of the 'ol Burma Shave signs. Cool stuff bro!
Aloha!

man...there were some sweet rides at this show. It was wwwaaaayyyy better than I expected! It was nice to see some real cars there, not just asian imports. There were also some real people there, not just the pimps and hos I normally see at the import shows. It was definitely refreshing. My favorite was Barry (Tweety's owner) and his two 1962 corvettes! he's my new hero!
One thing I did notice was that HMMC was NOT represented! Man, I should have seen HMMC brochures in the MINIs not dealership brochures! what's up with that????? eh, what, you folks never get enough exposure during the first hawaiian bank auto show?
