2006 JCW - I'm in love

Greetings from the happiest driver in Phoenix! I just purchased my Chile Red/Black JCW from a local guy who bought it from a dealer in Tenn. 5500 miles, so just broken in. He described it as "a boxful of giggles" and I have to agree.

I'm in the process of selling my RX8 - a really nice car, but just not a Mini. The JCW package is terrific and yes, all that torque just makes me smile.

My first mini experience was back in the 70's when I drove a friend's S. It had been used for SCCA racing and I still remember what a hoot it was to drive.

This looks like a great group - looking forward to learning more.

Just got my CR/B MCS/JCW at the end of August; 1900 miles and Hoot isn't a big enough word! Every time I get north of 6000 rpm(within the posted speed limit of course), I just say, Damnnnn!!!

I've had my JCW for a little over 3 months now and it just keeps getting better everytime I drive it. And when the JCW airbox opens up at 4500 rpms and the supercharger really starts to sing..... I am getting goose-bumps just writing about it.

I am sure you not only obeyed the speed limit above 6K rpm, you also didn't go above 4500 rpm prior to the recomended break in period.

That is correct sir! (kind of) 4500 for the first 500 mi or so then 5000 for pretty much the rest of the way. Sure, there were a couple of outbursts after 1000 mi. Now at 2000 mi and all hell has broken loose since 1250 mi. (within the posted speed limit of course)
