The waiting is hard. But, I think it is kind of fun too. I will never forget this whole experience. Picking out all of the options, finally biting the bullet and placing my order and tracking the car while it is being built. I just think this car will be so special to me because of this whole saga. The Emden is scheduled to reach Charleston on October 19. Yippee.

Where Oh Where is She? When will the call come? I feel like I'll never have the car in the garage! Anyway, what is another month in the grand sceme of things?
How do you get the car in your signature line and the owners club logo? Can't get that figured out!

We've been at the dock waiting to get on a ship since the 10th. At least that's all of the info I can get from ASK MINI. My MA is trying to get more details in regard to the delay. W&W shows nothing.

TLCerino, I was jealous at first, I hadn't heard anything from my MA at all!
But last night I got a email from her.. my status is loading on to a truck.. but that's all she knows, and doesn't know what order.. she said she would expect it at the dealer on Thurs, and ready for my Sat pick up.. I'm getting so excited.. I guess I need to ask her about the memory options though since I never got a call or email..

MrX, Are you on one of the other ships perhaps , a non WW. There was one that shipped around the same time as the Integrity, but it was another line heading to the East coast. I imagine your ship will go to NC. Good Luck!

Crossing fingers that all works out for this weekend.. I already sold my car and am in a rental.. but only have it till Friday/Sat.. I rather drive home in the MINI than another rental

quevasd, I don't know. It would be a nice surprise if that were the case. Hopefully, I can get some details today from my MA. I need to get on the ball and sell a 914 and finalize my finances...if that's the case.

How far is everyone else from their dealer? We're in Knoxville and our dealer is in Nashville... ~250 miles and ~3 hours away. This was a big question mark for me in purchasing the MINI...I'm hoping that the roadside assistance and "fine quality" make trips to the dealer a rare event.

I think "In Transit" means your car is on a boat. You may be on the Emden. It left Southhampton on 10-06 and is due in Charleston 10-19. I sold my car on Monday and am carpooling to get to work so I hope my car gets here soon. I live about 5 miles from my dealer.

yeah, in transit seems to mean on the boat..
mind you i was in transit when the integrity docked in NY.. it showed that way until today. although its been in NY since the 15th..

the OL estimated delivery is the 18th, which seems to be what my MA says.. so I am thinking Sat should be good to go..

I live about 28 miles from my dealer.. about 1 hour drive cause we got to take the dumb 495 beltway and the 267 airport toll road (thank God for EZ-PASS)..

Can't wait to see your pictures. Have you bought any goodies yet for your Mini? Any planned mods?

you know.. at first, i was thinking, like so many others.. hmm i'll keep it stock..
then I started seeing all these vendors and ideas.. some interior preference, some exterior (like the alta bar, some performance, like the sway bars at M7)

i'll have to prioritize.. :D
right now no buys.. just want to enjoy the car.. but my list is building..
first simple thing is the straps on the back seats and changing out the grab bar on the passenger side for a visor. Of course the Aux input too..

I'll keep it updated on NAM for sure.. its been so great so far!

Sounds like a good plan. It is really hard not to get carried away with the spending. Even before the car arrives. I probably should have used a little restraint. I guess I am just too excited. I don't think I have gone too far though with my purchases. So far I have gotten my Mini a sunshade, a grill badge holder, a euro parcel shelf, and a license plate holder. For myself, I have gotten a Mini key ring and a t-shirt. I read so much on NAM about pulleys, and bars, and intakes. It's Greek to me. I have not a clue about performance Mods. Three years from now my Mini will not be able to go any faster than the day it is delivered.

awesome! not that much more time and you'll be motoring in your MINI! :D

any idea when pickup is? hopefully the VPC is fast, looks like mine did make the truck, so that was a fast QC at the VPC.

I think you have to rely on your MA for that information. I'm just hoping for a delivery by next weekend.

Well, we sat for a solid week at port and finally set sail on the 17th aboard the Franconia...and she's not giving any tracking information...geez. My only info is that she is expected to be at sea for 13 days...all the time cuddling my MINI.

sullt is correct, the MA knows the info if they can find it.. or if they are willing to.. they look at the current code first, then can determine what shipments are coming to them via truck..

they don't know the exact order or the truck tracking details I think, but its better than nothing..

I was surprised though, cause so many NAMers got multiple and fast communication from their MAs, but its been tough with mine, and they don't call me.. I call them. ? I don't think that's normal..

Mind you, they did a killer deal on the price and extras.. so I can't complain too much.. I'm hoping I can attribute that to an increase in being busy for them..

oh.. and congrats sullt on delivery coming up..so close!
