Hi there - and need opinions...
Hi there! I'm going to place my order for my MCS tomorrow evening. YAY! I'm getting it pretty much loaded - Premium, Cold Weather and Sport Package. Anthracite surface - chrome line interior, Harmon Kardon, and English Panther Black Leather. I flipped back and forth on exterior colors a bit before deciding on the Dark Silver with black roof and mirrors. I could use some opinions on what wheels to coordinate with that. I was thinking about the Anthracite R99s - but am wondering if that is too dull for this color scheme. If not these, what alternative.
Also... I am debating about aftermarket racing stripes. I like the Viper stripes I've seen on some cars. I was thinking about black ones or maybe the frost stripes... I dunno. Or maybe none at all? The car just seems so plain without -- but I don't want to overdo it either. How easy are they to take off if I don't like them? Anyway -- any thoughts or suggestions you all might have are very welcome.
congrats!!!!
to be honest the only mini wheels i like are the s-lites and i dont like those at all! lol
what i would do if i could do it again is go with the cheapest mini wheel available and as soon as you get the car off the lot buy new after market wheels that really match the car and your personal style and sell those mini wheels on this site.
stripes are not my thing but, i did see a plaid racing stripe and the carbon fiber stripes look good as well.
good luck and welcome to the family!

thanks! I'm excited about doing this. It's the first car I'll ever have had that was what i wanted and not just "practical". Besides that, I'm really pysched over the level of enthusiasm i'm seeing here.
Don't worry about "over-doing" a MINI. I "overdid" mine (peek into my gallery), and I like it anyway. Chili Red, Union Jack roof, Chrome Pkg, Bonnet Stripes, Driving Lights, and even white wheels...grossly overdone and I was a little concerned that it'd be over the top. After nearly a year and a half, I still love it. Wouldn't change a thing if I placed another order today.

If you love everything in all of the packages, then they are a good deal.
But you can save a lot of money and put it elsewhere if there are things in the packages that you simply don't want or need.
For instance, we did not order the premium package or sport package because each of them had options that we didn't want after having suffered with them in my MCS for the past 3 years. For the record, we did not want the sunroof or the automatic AC. The greenhouse effect and added glare of the sunroof is a real downside, plus we didn't want to ruin her gorgeous silver roof with a big black hole. She also did not want the sport suspension plus or the 16 inch wheels and runflats. She preferred 15" wheels and regular tires for a smoother more comfortable ride to suit her driving style.
Even if money were no object, I would not ever again get a panoramic sunroof or automatic climate control in a MINI. But the money saved also let my wife feel better about choosing some fun extras she wanted but didn't really need.
Of course, your preferences are most likely different, but it may be worth your while to spec out a variety of different versions of your MINI with options a'la'carte rather than in packages.

Hi, misty! Welcome to NAM! I like your specs...I am a fan of the packages, and of the sunroof and the automatic a/c.
You can have a fun custom sunroof flag made for the sunroof if you find that it's too much sun for you. I like the idea of the anthracite rims with your DS/B MCS. Be sure to peruse the NAM photo gallery to find similar set-ups...that will help you decide.
