I use a bluetooth headset so won't be using the phone buttons on my MFSW. I've seen a circuit that lets you mute the stereo with one of the buttons, but I was wondering if there are any other circuits/uses? Seems such a waste of space otherwise

 

I don't know if there is a circuit or anything, but I understand the older MFSW's had a "mode" button to switch from radio to CD. Perhaps something like that could be hooked up?

The mute function sounds intriguing...do you know where something like that can be found?

I have MikeyTheMINI's MFSW relay. It is a relay that allows the phone button on the steering wheel to be used as a generic on/off switch. On the website it is listed as a garage door opener, but you can use it for any on/off function. It can be configured as either a momentary or latching switch. I use it for on-demand viewing of my rear view camera (normally enabled only when the car is in reverse).

 

I use them to zap the slow drivers in front of me? What? They're not connected to lasers? Oh.

 

Mine are connected to the photon torpedoes... hee hee
