Welcome and congratulations on the new addition to the family. Did you get a shift on purpose for your wife, so you could drive it as she learns ??

 

She picked it out. She's been doing good though. Only stalled a few times.

Looks like San Jose is your hometown. There are some good, fun, MINI clubs in the area MINI Mavericks, Nor Cal Minis, Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts, MOASF. There is also Sierra Nevada MINI Club, and Gold Country MINI, however they are a ways a way. You should check out the club websites and see if any look like they are of interest.
