Yes, as a current new MCS owner i can also say that I love Honda/Acura, as my last 2 cars were an Integra GSR and an 02 Civic Si that delivered a total of seven years of flawless fun....of course Harry is off the charts on the fun to drive scale!!!! So enjoy the site, the cars, and any makes of cars that interest you to the fullest, as they all have something to offer to the the enthusiast in all of us!!!

Yes, I just sold my 1994 Integra to buy my 2006 MCS. I do miss the Integra; what great fun to drive! Though when my MINI gets here, I'm sure it will help me get over the loss of the Integra...
The Civic Si was one of two other cars on the shortlist with the MINI (VW Rabbit was the other).
Sadly, I don't think I'll own another Acura, even if I do somehow end up needing more than 1 car, or if (blasphemy alert) the MINI doesn't turn out to be the car for me long-term. They're going with leather seats only and no more hatchbacks. I'm vegetarian, and don't want leather anywhere it doesn't have to be. Yes, my MFSW is leather, as is my clutch glove, but there aren't options for that. For my MCS seats, I went with leatherette.
Plus, I love hatchbacks--I could lug way more in my Integra than in any 2 or 3 Jeep Wranglers (my husband's car). And what fun the Integra was to drive!

I had a beautiful '86 CRX Si that only had 50K miles on it when some bonehead in his moms Hyundai turned left in front of me. Head on at about 45 MPH.
I walked away, he ruptured a spleen. He was lucky...I would have kicked his ash had he been conscious.

I was the owner of a 90 Integra.. a 92 GSR.. and a (wish I still had) 97 Integra Type R that was modded to within an inch of it's life.. I thought I had gotten away from "modding".. since I've had a couple cars between the last Type R and the Cooper, but I find my self helpless against the go-kart-esque MCS.. Wayy too much fun..
Some very, very old pics of the R..

I do miss the VTEC too.. The VTec of the slightly older generation Honda/Acura gave a distinct power boost when you hit the higher lobe (Vtec) of the cams.
The newer Vtec engines have made the low/high lobe cam transitions much smoother, removing some of the fun of the Vtec, IMO. It was almost like a turbo boost when the Vtec kicked in, typically anywhere between 4700-5400 rpm. Vtec engines run a much higher rev limiter, usually at least 7500 RPM, some as high as 9000 RPM.. which really screams.
the Vtec and MCS engines are hard to compare.. but the driving experience is much more fun in the MCS, IMO. I think I'm preaching to the choir on this board.. ; - )

I owned a '95 Honda Accord V6 which I just sold about a year ago. Great car! But I've been a little unimpressed with their styling and performance lately, not that they've ever been that exciting (outside of the S2000 and NSX). I just think they've really missed the boat with younger performance-minded buyers. The Civic has been a popular tuner car for years but aside from the SI, Honda has been foolish not to capitalize on it. They may not want to hurt their image with older buyers, but they could always follow what Toyota did and make a Scion-type brand. That way they could satisfy the performance crowd and make money on after-market performance parts while still maintaining their family friendly/commuter image.

But now I have the MCS. The sweet sound of the VTEC has been replaced by the whine od the supercharger. The engine is not quite as smooth, but still very responsive (except for when the elctronic throttle doesn't want to)And for a engine of only half the size, the MCS still has grunt that I was used to.
But don't think that I would give up my MCS. The total driving experience is in a whole different league. Yet the refinement and the fit & finish of the Acura was excellent. So I will always have a place for the Acura in my heart.
