Just make sure your Safari browser is set for blocking any pop-up windows. It works for me when I disable it.

 

Looks like she is done and getting ready to ship! Taking my SSR that I will miss dearly up to Northern Va. in 2 weeks to its new owner....bummer. I loved the sound of that loud V8 engine, but am looking forward to getting 38 mpg in my new clubman. Has anyone done any pinstripe work on theirs? I plan on jumping all over it when it comes. Can't wait! Jeezzzz...this feels like giving birth to a newborn! THis is my 3rd custom ordered vehicle, but first mini and it is so exciting! Thanks for your support. I think the black pillars in the back, the bonnet, and the suicide doors out the back are going to be great surfaces to do some pin work on! See attached work I did on my SSR

 

A bit more...The skull was airbrushed eurothane and the clear coated over in my friends body shop at mycar collision center in Chesapeake, Va. They do great work over there.

 

Got a VIN # now. It did not do much of anything in the ship tracking site. Guess it's too soon. Anywhere else I can go with the vin number to find out info?

Looks like she is up and running out to sea. They loaded it in the wee hours of the morning. Had to spend a lot of time on their web site to look it up correctly, but you can find out your vin number and cargo info. Please don't ask me how! I did not write it down and it took a lot of time....

 

Fedora will reach NY May 23rd according to web site for the boats. Any idea how long after that it takes to get to the dealer?

 

Called my dealer. Apparently, since I got the official word from the shipping company that the mini will arrive in the US on the 23rd of May, this is a good thing. They usually, but not always, try to get them to the dealers when they arrive at the end of the month to increase their allotments....so...I just may have her next week!....or not....but it is fun wondering when!

 

I hope so too. Although I am having trouble getting hold of my MA. We need a final total cost for the loan. I also want to confirm the driving lamps and chrome front lower grill instalation.

 

Unfortunately I dont have the patience to read all ten pages, can some one tell me this. My friend wants an r56 but they told him if he tracked it the warranty is gone, true?

But if tracking voids the warranty, then I've lost my warranty already because I've been tracking like crazy. And I haven't even given the dealer all of the down payment! How could they do this to me? I haven't even seen my car in person! My car isn't even in the same state as I am (a state of euphoria now turned into panic)!

 

No way does tracking affect your warranty! BS flag flying high here!

Also littlehandegan you're not the only one. If you go to the trouble of reading all the pages, Tracking (racing) vs Tracking (where's my new MINI) is a recurring theme.

 

Guess the tracking phase is about over, my mini arrives in the US today and should be here by mid week next week! Yippeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Congrats! You're going to love being a MINI owner. I picked up Bimini last night and here it is 4:30 am and I can't sleep. I want to go pull her out into the drive and give her her first bath and start the Zaino therapy.

Anyone else that was on the Fedora heard your status yet? Ship was supposed to arrive on the 23rd of May (Friday) so I wonder where things are now? Sold my SSR and car pooling really is not a good time.

 

I've heard nothing officially. It was off-loaded at 2.10(ish)pm on the 23rd. I'm expecting to hear from my MA this week. But I'm bored of keeping trying to get hold of him and get an MSRP. I'm hoping when he knows it's coming he will let me know

 

The suspense is killing me! My salesperson is back to back in appointments all day. They are selling minis like they are going out of style. All clubmans are sold out and most of the inventory they had on the lot is gone! Glad I ordered when I did! NOw,....where is that baby?

 

Here's my "issue" with this. The first dealer we went to, everybody was too busy to spend 10 minutes to take my order (despite the day earlier it be deserted and no MA's were anywhere to be found). Where we finally ordered, we keep hearing they are really busy too. Why don't they hire a few extra people?
