I'm set for week 28. Ordered it last night and that was their first opening. I think that's pretty good though considering others seem to have to wait a month or more for allocations sometimes. :-)

I don't know where you guys are finding "weeks". ASK-MINI says ours will be finished July 7th. Does that mean we're in "Week 28"?

I'm actually in week 27 now...

Mitch...speak to a human at ASK MINI and they should be able to give you your production week. But...if you're scheduled for completion on the 7th, that means you are week 27.

I'm due for completion on the 8th.

I knew I was week 28 from the day that I ordered it. The dealership I went to is pretty big and they had a bunch of open spots for the 28th week. If I had gone the day before I might have pulled off week 27... oh well. I've checked on Ask Mini and they say it is scheduled for production but don't have a set date yet. I can't wait to find out exactly what day it will be produced. Congrats to the rest of you guys/gals!

I'm week 28, too. I ordered 6/11. ASK MINI seems to think I ordered 6/19, though--anyone know why my dealer might not've submitted for a while? Does it have something to do with allocations?

I thought we were right down to the wire, but now I'm reading about 06 MINIs being produced into October. Does anyone know what's up? Did the retooling for 07 get pushed back?

 

Revised estimate now, finished on 7-10. Hmm, if they finished it on 7/11, I might have a lucky car!

 

Hi all. I was in the PW27SG but now I have an estimated production completion date for 7/9, which puts me here with you guys. Woohoo!

Whoo Hoo! Our cars birthday was yesterday, July 6th! (am I still WEEK 28?)

The guy at ASK-MINI said it would take 2 days for them to move it by rail to the Port. Then it will sit there for 7-10 days before it will leave on a boat. Once it's on a boat it will take 22 days (through the Panama Canal) to get to the Port in L.A. But he didn't know how long it would take to get on a truck to ship it to Salt Lake City. But he guessed the middle of August...worst case the end of August.

So where do I go to track a ship that goes through the Panama Canal. I wanna see if I can watch the boat go through the canal via the canal's web cam (which I also need to find).

I've been posting in the week 27 thread (wishful thinking on my part) but my scheduled completion date is 7/13/06 so I'm officially a week 28er.

Just got Gromit's VIN number, and his birthday will be Sunday, the 9th. I asked, and yes, they work on Sunday at the Oxford plant!
