The Salt Lake City dealership called us last night and said that the boat should arrive at the L.A. Port on August 5th. Only then will he give us an estimate of when the car will arrive at the dealership so we can book a flight out.

My MA told me that at long as Mary was at the VDC by the 30th, she should be at the dealership by the 8th. But, a lot of stuf has to be done before she's ready for pick up (Sport stripes: boot and bonnet, clear bra, custom leather seats, dash and door panels painted). I'm guessing at least a week after that.
I guess this would be a good time to tell you what I'm getting, huh?

I wouldn't be in a rush to name your MINI. I've known lots of owners who thought they had a name all picked out...until they saw/drove their MINI for the first time.
I inherited Mosquito, so I kept the name (didn't want to give him an identity crisis). But, I did consider changing it to Elektra after driving him.

Some people know their Mini's name before they see it, like picking out a name before birth for example. Other must wait until they see or drive their Mini for the muse to hit. It's all good.

I want my mini!
I am really starting to lose it here. I am completely unable to focus on work. I have been obsessively checking http://www.sailwx.info (which hasn't updated the location of the Manon since yesterday) and trying to decide if it's worth $73/year to get vanity plates for my mini.
All I want is to have my mini and not have to drive my boring camry anymore.

anyone know what time the Courage docks? I have the worst luck on that ASIS site, it wants me to subscribe and pay to see boats... otherwise I just see Europe maps... anyone know how to actually view the nyc harbor?

Totally worth it to get the plates! It's worth it everytime I look into my rear view mirror and see the car behind me cracking up, pointing!
On the plus side, I noticed that the Emden's coming in on the 27th, as opposed to the 30th (when my MA said it would arrive at port)! Woo-hoo!
