Finally I got a production no. from my MA

Finally, I got a production no. from my MA!!
It has been a long time, I placed my order in early
Feb.
Anyone has an idea when the car will be in dealer.
My MA told me she is expecting early August. Still
more two months away, I jus can't wait

Hi USA!!

I am guessing you are on the west coast like me. It takes a while. I placed my order in November of last year, Got my production number April 1st and my MINI rolled off the line on May 4th. It is currently on a boat headed to Port Hueneme expected to arrive on May 31st.

Don't worry, the wait isn't TOO unbearable. Although as time goes on you will see your mood go downhill.

Edit: And Welcome to NAM!

Back last September when I ordered MIB they said that there was a two week delay to get the production number. Seems that they had sold their alotment of MINIs that month. And I had to wait for the next months alotment.

Hi Andy,

You are right I am in bay area, northern california.
So from the time you got a production no. to the car arrives at dealership,
there will be 2 months wait.
Is it correct?

My dealer is pleasanton, where is yours?
My original MA left the dealership. Thanks for this site, someone
posted a message about it, then I called them and they ordered
the car for me last week.

Yeah, 2 months sounds about right. I am not too sure about the exact time of arrival, but its gonna be close to 2 months.

When we take delivery, what will the dealership try to sell us?
This is what I can think of now
1) extended warranty
2) extended maintainence
3) tire warranty

anything else?

Which one worth the money??

All three vary from dealer to dealer. The combined price took MIB from Just over $21,000 to well over $24,000

Hi MIB,

Are they that expensive? $3000 for all three?
Can you negotiate on the price on these warranty or
they are as firm as the price of the mini?
