Should I be worried?

Ok so my car has been in production for a week and it will be done April 11th, this Tuesday! But the only thing the ASKMINI computer and actual person has said is that it started production! Most people say they are told when its in the body shop, or paint shop, or where ever it is. Has my MINI been lost in the factory or did they forget to started it I am just stressing over nothing, probably. Just wanted to get your guys(or girls ) thoughts! Im guessing the factory is open on the weekends too, unless they build it and paint it and everything Monday-Tuesday!

Don't Worry

My experience was the same until last night - I called and they said it had entered the body shop, then it had to go to paint and then final assembly. Supposedly with all that, the complete date is still 4/9. I think they must work thru the weekend. The most info they could give me up until last night was that it was in production as well.

I ordered my MCS in late Oct. 2005 and picked it up Dec. 28th.
From experience I'll tell you not to drive yourself crazy about
wondering where your car is in the pipeline. Take a deep breath
and go on with your life, the next thing you know your phone
will ring and your baby will be ready to be picked up. Chill..

Don't worry. I never received any updates such as the e-mails I've heard other father/mothers-to-be received about where their MINI was in production. I checked the "Where's Your MINI" in the MINI Lounge I think about every five minutes looking for updates. Then according to that link, it showed my MINI waiting on the loading dock for 2 weeks even though I knew the name of the boat my MINI was on and was tracking it daily. Then you get that phone call and/or e-mail from your MA saying your MINI is ready for pick up. THEN you can't sleep.

So don't drive yourself too crazy of not knowing where in the process your MINI might be. It'll be here before you know it!

Fortunately I didn't know I could track my car through the process. In fact it came in over a month early and I was pleasantly surprised!

ASKMINI is busy watching over all the baby MINIs in production. Sometimes it will forget to update the waiting parents.

Before you know it ASKMINI will be telling you that your MINI is at the port.

I got my S in 2/03. A word of advice, don't got caught up in watching other people stressing on this site about when your car will arrive. I didn't pay much attention until it was on the boat and that was fun. However, it took a long time to arrive at the dealership after the boat docked. I had to stop looking at this site because other people were going nuts waiting and it started to rub off on me. **%%##@@!!! In fact I'm still not right. Aughhhhh!

Just do be different I'd say WORRY, after all its a MINI and they could lose it in all those places that regular cars don't fit.

Most likely just a slow update of things, I'd wait until it was on the boat before getting too concerned.

In 04 when my Mini was going thru it started out saying "on order" then all it ever said was "in production" then it let me know that it was on a ship, then at the dock. But I learned that the computer was approx 1 week behind because the day it said at the dock (which would have been in SC) I called my SA he said my mini was already at the dealership (which was in GA)
