Yay!! My MINI has been released to a carrier and is awaiting transportation to a port of exit.

Is it normal for my VIN still not to appear on the WW site? (MINI is coming to the east coast) Or, should I assume that I'm on a different carrier??

tubwreck,

Where did you get that info? I called MINI of Peabody this morning and my MA had no info about shipping but did say he expected my car to arrive at MOP some time between May 22 and May 25. In order to make those dates my car would have to be on the Courage, but I have yet to be a ble to verify that.

On the Courage.....

Guess I was doing something wrong. Just plugged my VIN into the WW cargo tracking page and got confirmation that my car will be on the Courage.

mine is on the courage too!!

Are you sure its being dropped off in NY though? Mine states that it's being dropped off at SC even though it stops in the US two times before that. Isn't there a distribution center in NJ? Mine is coming to ohio, so NJ would make a lot more sense.

Cars on the Courage

From the Booking# I got a list of cars that are on the Courage. There are 19 Coopers, 31 Cooper S, 21 Cooper Convertible and 21 Cooper S Convertibles. There are also 40 other vehicle that come back as invalid VINs on Carfax. The VINs look like Cooper Ones RHD and Coopers RHD but the year digit is a zero and the Courage is headed for the U.S.A so the numbers don't make any sense.

Just more interesting little details to keep everyone entertained while we wait.

MarcusCT,

On the Track Your Mini page where it shows your car as "Awaiting Transport", right click near the bottom of the page and select View Page Source. A window will open. Near the bottom will be a long line that starts - <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="OrderTrackingMINI-hardtop.swf?......
About half way down the length of the line you will find your VIN.

Also I've found that on the Track your MINI page if you right click in the window and select "Play" repeatedly and then View Order Detail that eventually the Order Detail will appear in the Order Detail window.

Or....You can also right click and select forward. This will take a while, but more reliable than the play option.

I have my VIN, that's not the problem.

There's just no info for my VIN on the WW site.

you type it into the search under "auto cargo" ...then it will tell you all that it is that you want to know

Go to the Track by Auto page that shows you VIN is on the ship. Copy the Booking Number and then click on the Track by Booking number link on the right. Paste in the Booking Number then click Track. You'll get a listing of the VINs of cars on the ship.

You can also get to the list by going to the Cargo Tracking page and click on the tracking by Booking Number link. The Booking Number is GBSOU421558.

Thanks -- I paged through to find my VIN. Since the ship holds ~5000 cars, you could spend a lot of time hunting for VINs. Funny to see so many VINs in sequence.

rather than paging through, you can just set it to the printer friendly version and you can search for your VIN rather than having to page through.

mine's not on there ...

HAHAHAH!!!!!! Wouldn't you just go figure!! I am expecting to get my car around the end of June. My work now wants to send me to Salt Lake City for 4 days at the end of June. Now I KNOW for certain that my car will be ready during that last wek in June! AHHHHH the irony.

*sigh*

speaking of which, when are we supposed to be getting our cars?

Early, mid, late June? Does it matter on where we are in the country? Does anyone in my area have an estimated time? My dealer just said sometime in June.

It depends on where you are in the country and where your car ports at. My dealer said early July at the latest.
