We're just forgotten I'm afraid...you don't think they would fib us on the completion date would they? ASKMINI told me today that they I should know something definitely by 5/1 -- the day my MCS is complete. I've seen on other threads that they update where your car is in the production process (i.e., body shop, paint shop, etc...) but that doesn't seem to be happening with any of us. OK, I'm done wigging.

I dont even have a completion date. For all I know it could be being built now!!!!! Ok, so probably not, but the live people have been telling me I should see something by the end of the week.

They've been saying the same thing to me and still nada.

No completion date? Wouldn't they know when your MCS will be done if it is going to be complete by next week?

All of this doesn't make a shred of sense to me. Why is week 18 so neglected? Why don't they tell us? Why don't they update the darn automated system? AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH

I just want to see progress, then I will feel like my MCS is getting one step closer to getting here.

Wait 'til we're in 'en route' mode...then the REAL wiggage begins.

Yeah, no kidding! Hopefully we will be on a WW ship and not a NYK. WW has much better tracking.

Sign up for the free access to aislive.com. I saw some screen snapshots on bimmerfest.com, and it showed NYK ships like the Orion Diamond. The guy in that thread saw it was about to go through the canal, and saw it on the webcam. I wish I would have seen that thread before, I would have signed up.

well, once we get a vin, you can always try to track a shipment through the NYK or WW site. NYKs online tracking sucks, but WW is VERY good. You can always call NYK service as well.

ASK MINI has been pretty accurate for me. The day the ship left, ASK MINI changed status. The OL lags behind.

I agree the NYK website is useless.

I wasn't on a WW ship, but judging by other posts, it seems to be excellent. Just don't get excited about being booked on a particular ship, wait until the WW status shows loaded.

In a number of other order tracking threads I've seen, only one WW ship going to Port Hueneme was reported as having MINIs on it, out of maybe 10 WW ships shown as being scheduled for the PH run in that time span. There is always the possibility of change, and for the better tracking I wish all of us could go via WW ships, but this is has been my observation.
TouringComet is right on the shipping to the West Coast. I'm a week 16er and made it on the Orion Leader out of South Hampton the weekend of the 8th. My MA said should be into PH by May 12th, but actually should be sooner (maybe this weekend) since it should only take 21-23 days. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and forgot to say that the Orion Leader is NYK...they are the primary shipper to the West Coast for Minis. I must say though that they really have no good ship tracking. WW has them beat by a mile in that department.

Hey all,

Bad news 1st -- no updates for my MCS, good news -- ASKMINI says that once your MINI is actually being built, their system is updated daily. So I'd check it everyday (pesty, but hey, it's our MINIs so tough on the cust serv people!).

Anyone got any updates?

Also, Asked about weekend production, he said that he is pretty sure the plant is closed over the weekends.

That sucks.

How can that be? I called ASKMINI this am and the guy told me that they should be building my MCS today and that it takes 6 days to finish...my MCS is suppose to be done by 5/1 (Monday)!

We are being bamboozul'd...not fair, not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, spoke to a very nice guy @ ASKMINI just now and he says my MCS is in the body shop, started today and I should be in the paint shop by Friday -- keeping my fingers crossed.

He says that production continues over the w/e but that the system doesn't get updated during that time.

OK -- progress. Doug's is the cust rep guy's name. He listened. He researched. He rocks!

I'm whole again until we get loaded on the boat -- whichever one that is.

That super duper sucks.

Doug the cust rep said that even though it was projected back around 4/14 that production was ahead of schedule, a MINI probably got held up in production -- mostly to due to customer-last-minute-option-changes -- probably why you don't know anything yet.

One stalled MINI holds up others MINI production -- MINI Bottlenecking
