Ok, Well, I didn't talk to Doug, but I did talk to Tony, who I have talked to before, and he said that my car is in the prelim stages of production, basically meaning that its in line to be built. WHOOT! Got my VIN and completion is estimated for 5/6!! YAY!!!!

 

Woohoo!!!! Progress for all!!

 

Called ASKMINI today and found out I'm in assembly! I think it's a day in assembly and then I'm completed!

Hopefully my MCS won't be sitting @ the dock for very long before it gets loaded onto a boat!

Have you tried putting your VIN on the WW car cargo tracking site?

 

Yay! Automated voice now says that my car is in production!!

Live person says production started yesterday! Still should be done on the 6th!

Just called Ask Mini. My MINI is in the Body Shop with an estimated completion of May 2.

I checked the WW cargo tracking site but it didn't have any record of my VIN.

Thanks for the link! Nope, nothing yet. What is the port in the UK? Is it southhampton? If so, man there's a bunch of ships leaving to PH one on the day your MCS is done 5/8!

I thought NYK is the one that folks were saying go to PH and not WW?

 

it depends. its mostly NYK, but sometimes a WW ship will show up. I know someone from the area, Joeypilot, who is on a WW ship to PH now. I am just hoping that it is WW because of the excellent tracking available.

 

WW looks like it's got stellar tracking. Maybe we'll be on 5/8? Fingers crossed! Anyone got the NYK schedule while I'm onto the en route obssessing?

I was just screwing around on the NYK site and I cannot get anything to pull up on their schedules. BAH!!! Ask MINI will have info on the shipping and such when the car is done I believe. You could ask them now. Good thing this is the slow time of year at work.

 

by the way, I have pics posted on page 2 of those ships, minus the don carlos.

 

I just checked schedules on NYK too and couldn't find anything going to PH, just Charleston, SC...whatever!

I'm multi-tasking here @ work while I'm into my MCS frenzy!

Well, I got my garage all ready for the MINI today



One inside and one out. This one is out.

 

So I called ASKMINI and my MCS is done! I was told that my baby will be sitting @ the port of exit for 2 weeks until it gets loaded onto a boat (maybe) and that they have no way of know which boat picked it up!

So now I'm sitting on the dock watching all of the other MINIs go by... :(

 

OK, so I just got off the phone with ASK MINI and they said that my car was complete and rolled off the production line on 4/28!!! Its currently on a train headed for Southampton. I asked about shipping info and they said that my MA will have info on that. They only can see when it is at the port and when it leaves. Yay for my car being done early!!! WOOT!!!

...and now the real wait begins.:impatient
