Found out this weekend that I will be Production Week 18! Whoohoo!

I wil be getting an MCS Royal Gray and Silver Roof. Here are the rest of the specs:

Ok, so who else is week 18? I know I am a bit early, but I have waited so long, its good to get a support group going!

What part of the country are you in, and what does "Track your Mini" say? Mine has the color right, but none of the order details.

 

As apparently everybody but me already knew, you can see the actual order details by doing a View->Source on the Order Details page. Some bug on the web page (the order details are normally displayed as a flash movie).

Very happy-making to see that the order details are correct.

 

I placed my order and put a deposit on the car on April 2 and received my official confirmation from the dealer yesterday April 8.

MA says I should get the car in early June. I'm in NH so I ordered from Mini of Peabody.

Current status on Track Your Mini is "On Order" and "Review Order Details" is blank.

 

Welcome to NAM Tubwreck and ronburton!!! For some reason Review order details is blank. I am not too sure why that is. If you go to, I think its Properties and View Source, there is a bunch of HTML code. Toward the bottom you will see your order details embedded in one of the lines.

I placed my order way back in November and my MA said to expect to take delivery by the first part of July at the latest.

That's funny -- April 2 is my birthday, which I spent at Mini of Peabody talking my wife into letting me but a Mini (successfully). I ordered by phone the next Tuesday, got confirmation back that night.

Can't wait! As before, feeling much happier to be able to "see" the order status by viewing the page source. Funny that Mini USA hasn't fixed that, since it's been a bug for such a long time.

 

Yeah, a lot of MINI dealers back east, well hell, all over the country, have better alottments than in Seattle or Portland. Each city only has one MINI dealer and both have crazy wait times. I was not supposed to have mine until September or October, but it looks like for soem reason they are ahead fo schedule. Yay for that at least!

 

Thanks guys for the tip for "view - source" for checking the order details. I also feel better now that I can see that the details are correct.

 

Is it just me? I keep watching the video of the Minis being made, like over and over again. I love it. The music. The tender caresses of the production workers. The soulful dance of the robots.

Well, I have watched it twice so far, and just keep thinking that mine will be going through that process. Ahhhh, the ballet that is MINI.

 

I talked to ASK MINI today and they said that my status changed to something, I can't remember what it was, two days ago and that I should have a solid build date soon. My MA gave me the week 18 date, but hopefully he was wrong and that it changes to a sooner week. Man, I wish time would go faster. Of course I should be careful what I wish for.

 

Interesting! Yep, all my details are there in the source. Even the VIN number, which hasn't otherwise been provided to me yet, is embedded in the code.

 

No VIN for me :(. I hope that doesn't mean something bad.

 

The VIN number should show up about the time that the status changes to scheduled for production. I think...

 

Don't sweat it...I'm actually in production week 16, so it's not surprising that my VIN would show up first. Look for it in another week or two.

 

Just wanted to say 'hi'. I'm week 18 and time is going so slow until the day I unite with my MCS. The waiting is excruciating!

Where are you located? When did you place your order. Did the dealer do anything special for you?

 

Nice specs mininini! JohnMonk just got one and it looks fantastic. Never liked the pepper white till I saw pics of his!

 

We have about 15 days left before our cars will begin to be built! YAY!

 

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and see that the Miniusa site shows that I am scheduled for production. Dealer originally said I was looking at Week 17, but that it has been pushed up to Week 16.

My MA says I am also scheduled for production in week 18, although the owners lounge doesn't show it yet. I live in southern Oregon and am getting the car through Rasmussen MINI in Portland. The car is a MC CR/W with chrome line exterior. The only other extra cost option is the cold weather package (It is forecast to snow 4-6 inches this weekend......). It's not that I'm cheap, there just aren't any other options I wanted. I subscribe more to the lean and mean (and lightweight) philosophy, and the standard equiment is hardly a sacrifice to live with. I am really looking forward to tracking my cars progress towards me.

gbony, I am up in Seattle, so you will get your MINI before me! Thats ok though, I have been waiting since november an extra day or two won't make a difference.
