That was us! Justin actually was the guy that emailed you. We'll be back by soon one of these weekends...Was that a vinyl cutting machine we saw in your shop? (we did some 'window shopping' to make sure it was a mini place)

Yea you found the right place. That is a plotter for cutting vinyl you saw. Until all the cleanup is complete we are not an official "store". We have a warehouse in that building and an install facility behind that building. As you may or may not know we do more than just MINI's. Prior to our mini venture we were building street rods (We still currently are). Soon enough we will have a pleasant storefront with a full service shop.

That's what I thought, I noticed the link for street rods on your website. What got you guys into Minis?

I know Justin and I have a list of mods that we are working on, so we'll try to swing by to see if there is anyway you all can help us out. We'd also love to put in a helping hand at your shop. Anything you guys need help with to get yourselves up and running, if you need more manpower, just let us know.

With my impending wedding (april 15th) i'm pausing my mod search until May. However, I am looking for some stock tailights to tinker with if anyone knows of any I can get for cheap. I have an idea to black them out and remove the yellow lens from the center, but i'm not ready to take my own apart yet.

I'm not sure if you need it or not but our shop has a wheel/tire mounter and balancer if your wheels are coming without the tires mounted. I can also get you deals on tires. Let me know if you need anything.

you didn't happen to go to Lake Forest High from about 92 - 96 did you?

I know there was a guy there named Dan Murphy who was a year ahead of me.

It seems like this thread is building some steam here.

Blakc,
Do you guys know when your storefront will be back open again? I probably drive through there at least once a week.

I purchased my MINI earlier last summer. I soon started the "mod hunt" and realized there were a ton of MINI enthusiasts in our neck of the woods. A lot of the vendors that we use on the street rod side were able to transcend onto the MINI side of things. Brands such as Wilwood, Magnaflow, Dakota Digital etc. It was around that time I decided it wouldnt be too hard to start up a MINI retail parts website/store. We have obviously added to our manufacturers list with items from Alta, H-sport, H&R etc. We are still adding products weekly while doing cleanup of our shop that was deformed from flooding. The main trouble is the parking lot and driveways that need to be paved as that is quite costly. Little by little we are getting back on track. My goal is by this coming summer to be a full retail storefront with a full service shop for the local customer.

Also, I was driving to the YMCA in Central Wilmington this morning around 6:10 and was following a DS onto Penn Ave. Thanks for the wave at the light! Was it any of you? looked like an 05/06 and it had one of those blue/white checkered shield badges next to the license plate...Nice looking!

I think a stop here could be managable. Maybe I'll get the grill out and make some burgers or something. Let me know if this is a confirmed date.

I thought it was a "Bavarian Motorsport" Symbol. We had an 86 325 growing up that also had the badge. We didn't purchase it at Otto's so I assumed it was more general.

Minsian,

Kristi and I both went to Caesar Rodney, Kristi graduated in 91 and I did in 92. I will talk to Doug and Marc about making a stop at coast to coast.

If not this run we will be sure to hit it soon. We are always looking for new friends.

Hope to meet you guys soon.

Dan

As far as i know, each BMW dealership has thier own (well, at least in this area!)

Ottos is the checkers - I think that union park has the 1/2 blue, 1/2 white on the angle, devon has a horse, don't know about Main line.

DrtyMurphy...good to know! I was Lake Forest class of 97. And it seems like Blakc is interested in having Small Wonders stop by. Will be a great event!

I have no idea. Now that I think about it, when I was 7 I might have thought it was blue and white checkers when in fact it was something else. We bought our old 325 from IG Burton in Milford, DE. I'll have to figure out what their "Crest" is.

Minsian,

I don't think that Burton has a logo like the other dealers. I know Mini of the MAin Line has the Horse.

We will have to set up a trip to Coast to Coast soon. I know a couple of the Guys were talking about March 5 being a free day, We would love to come up and check out some of your favorite roads. And make a pit stop at Coast.

Just a thought.
