You've got it backwards, My car has the grill, Justin's car has the tint...but good try, I know it's tough getting two DS/Bs mixed up

Justin can tell you more info about the tint. I think it's a 20% all the way around and he got it somewhere in Bear Delaware.

You'll also note the Parking Light/Blinkers have been whited out. That is such a simple mod I don't understand why more people don't do it. We just removed the yellow bulbs, rattle canned the top of the bulbs silver and replaced them...Bye Bye Fried Egg Look!

Minsian has the aerogrill, I have the tint. ITs 20%, so only lets 20% light thru, you can still see thru it a bit. Its not limo tint. Looks really good with the beltline blackedout.

yeah, the tint & the belt line must look great together.

I need to check out a few different MINIs with different tints. One of the things I do love is the visibility out of the car, don't want to kill that too much!

Just in case you are interested in what the door looks like with the beltline blackout and without it...

Anyone want to plan a meet up for a motoring event?
I know that phillymini has a small wonder part, are there any activities planned that anyone knows of?

Install Party?
Motoring around Brandywine Valley and stop at Buckleys for a beer?

We should plan something.

new pics

I am game for getting together for a drive, wash, install or something. For me, it won't be until at least march, pretty booked until then.

That black out looks great....really smooths things. I think i'll have to jump on that bandwagon. I can always look at a my wife's CR if i want to see chrome!

I did manage to get fishbulb a bath this weekend & get a good drive in on saturday. Took some pics of her clean & in the sun. here are a few, more in my gallery:

enjoy!

Yeah, i only saw a LY parked by buckleys, and a CR/W with stripes. Thought I would see more back by smith bridge, creek road, etc.

I was looking for Coast to Coast, but my google directions were a tick off, I was looking for it about 100 yards from where i think that it actually is! And did i have their phone number with me....of course not! Oh well, just another reason to drive down there.

I do have a set of rotas coming - i just have to meet up with my brother to get them....which of course is currently planned for march 4th! I am a real PITA with scheduling!

Blakc, we need so see some more pics of your ride. I need a ride in a pullied car, and I want to hear that exhaust too!

The difference in a pulley car is night and day. Combine that with the CAI and the supercharger really screams. There are few pictures I took yesterday of my car in this thread. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=60035

You were about 100 yards from Coast to Coast. You may have noticed those large brick buildings near NVF before the little bridge. I know this because I actually work for Coast to Coast. My father is the president of the company. I use this name for personal use on the forums. We are still working on clean up from the past flooding our buildings have suffered. The parking lot is still a distaster and it takes time to recover from such an act of nature.

D'oh!

I drove past you guys like 3-4 times! I saw some pick ups over there, but no MINIs or anything... Ok, so know i know where you guys are at! It did look a little rough, sorry to hear that you guys took a beating with the flooding.

I have the Alta intake, my wife bought me that for christmas. I plan to put that on once i get through break in. I want to beat on it a little before i change anything, see the difference without being influenced by the fact that i'll have 2000 extra RPMs to play with. I will do a pulley, just not sure which size yet.

The pics look great....i like the painted grill.

Thanks!

Thanks, I was very tempted to get the same wheels you are getting. I was between the C8's the C10's in sports bronze but obviously wound up with the slipstreams. Your car is going to look insane with those wheels installed. I mean that in a good way too. I'm not sure if you need it or not but our shop has a wheel/tire mounter and balancer if your wheels are coming without the tires mounted. I can also get you deals on tires. Let me know if you need anything.

Group drive planned

Hey Guys,

The smallwonders have a get together planned for March 18th. We haven't worked out all the details yet. But the plan is to hit the covered bridges, and the twisties in greeenville. The event will end a Jose's Border Cafe on Route 4 just past Christana Mall. So I will let you guys know what the details are we we get them. Look foward to meeting everyone.

Dan

Dan, I'm all about the meet on March 18th, although, i'm settling on my house on the 15th, somehow I should be able to go for a motor that day!

Blakc, JustinO and I were out your way trying to find you, when we did, find you guys...no one was home. We're actually painting our side grilles satin black this week (we have extras, just in case we screw it up), and we're doing an HAI install. We ordered the K&N 1550 to tap directly on the throttle body, I figure for $35, we had to try it. If you have any advice on painting the side grills, i'm all ears. Is that a Satin Black that you have?

We had trouble finding you guys out there when we were there. You guys need a sign, or a Mini parked in your lot ;-)

Can't wait to meet you all, there are a lot of us like-minded miniacs in Delaware, and it's going to be bad for our addictions once we all meet with new ideas.... ;-)

I got an email from one of you 2 after your search. There are a couple of buildings there that are ours. 1 is the huge brick building in the front. The other is back behind it and hard to see from the road. Sometimes we are back there on the weekends.

The black I used was one I had laying around. For the plastic parts such as the grilles and the S vents I sanded with a red scotch brite pad and then used a plastic adhesion promoter/primer. I believe it was duplicolor. I applied a couple coats of the primer and then a few coats of rustoleum flat black. I had painted a radiator prior to doing this and thought it looked good. The paint is actually almost an exact match of the fender flares and bumper trim. I like duplicolors spray nozzle as it is not as hard on your finger as some of the others. I highly doubt you will be able to screw up your side grills but I guess extras dont hurt.

Most of the time there is a MINI parked outside (mine). I will get a sign at some point once this construction and cleanup are near completion.
