I'm just up in bucks county... but I could see heading south a bit and meeting up. I've also been unable to get into phillymini, but was told that they are 'restructuring' so soon they will be back in business.
Isn't JC Speed in Buck's County? And I know Helix is in North(ish) Philly too. What do you all think about meeting up at one of the vendors for some type of install/meet and greet/shopping extravaganza?
activity!
wow...this thread really did take off...very cool!
I think it would be cool to to a meet & greet at a vendor...plus give people time to check out each others mods..
JSC is in montgomery county, close to the fort washington exit off of the TP & 309. Don't know if they do installs or not.
Helix is in the north east. they obviously do installs.
Also, there is Coast to Coast, a new guy in North wilmington area. My wife dealt with them when buying a Alta intake for me for christmas, said they were great. Again, don't know if they do installs, etc.
I am busy all through jan & the first half of feb. might be better to wait until we all thaw out a little!

I've been to that website before! Who knew?!
Creek Road (Route 82) Is an excellent road to drive on up here in wilmington. That's also only about 15 minutes from my house. I'll drive out there and check it out, see if they'd like to host some kind of picnic one weekend.
Nice work!

This thread has taken off, good thing i started it.
i am assuming all of you get your Mini's serviced at Otto's on 202. What do you guys think of the service up there. I havent really had a bad experience yet. Just had them fix the rattle in my sunroom, took them 6hrs to do it. Good thing it was covered under warranty.
They did take out my towhook tho. I was panicking for a minute there, then i opened the trunk, and it was just laying in there. So that was odd.
Creek road is a fun one to drive one. I used to take those backroads to work before i moved, and i had a 4runner. Now that i have a mini, and i moved, its RT.1 and 95. Not as much fun.
M7 Ultimate Upper, Middle and Front Grill on order!!!

I just dropped my car off at Otto's today for some squeaky fixes and to replace the cowl vents under the windshield with the newer ones that don't deteriorate.
They gave me a 2006 MCA B/W as a loaner. I have to say...i'm glad I got the MCS. However, the ride is much more tolerable. On the ride down to the dealership I was on City Ave Coming out of Manayunk, I had to change lanes because the road was just way TOOOO jarring. With the 06 MC though the ride seems to be smoother, and the handling doesn't appear to be comprimised.
I didn't get a good look at the tires though, which may not be run flats, and I think I have 16" rims, which would help a lot with the bumpys.
Otto's was great though, Joe Fritz is very helpful and was able to get me a loaner today even though I didn't request one ahead of time.
I'll follow up after I pick up the car.

Delaware checking in.
Hi Delaware,
My wife and I have a 2005 PH/W cooper. Glad to see more Minis popping up in Delaware. We are members of Phillymin.org and have been very active with them. Several Members of the phllymini in this area have started a new chapter called the SmallWonders. We are try to plan a few events for the spring. check out the site http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/..._smallwonders/
we would like to hear from all the local minis.
We are in Dover but my wife drives the Mini to Newark everyday so you might have seen her around.
Hope to hear from you guys soon.
Dan

So Minsian and I motored around the Hockessin-Chadds Ford Valley yesterday. We actually set out intent on going to COAST TO COAST USA. We arrived about 1pm, the place was closed. Eventhough their website said they were open 7 days a week from 9-5pm.
Oh well, maybe next weekend. Does anyone have any experience dealing with them?

Yep, no luck with Coast to Coast yet, but we were able to get some decent pics in!

I love those roads!
I know exactly where you guys were at...that covered bridge is about 10 minutes from my house...great roads back there!
as for coast to coast, give them a call. The guy actually dropped my Alta Intake off at my wife's work rather than ship it. Got it to her in time for christmas...good service!
And, here are some pics of my new ride...you guys need a *different* color...too much grey!
(those B&W shots look great!
*** Check my gallery - changed my pics up! ****

Nice Shots Fish! We had a blast out there this past weekend, I think I even had the window open for a bit ;-)
We should start a club called the graysuits or graybirds, or grayhairs or something...at least we all have different wheels, and sidemarkers ;-) that way people can definitely tell us apart!

and at least i'll bring some color to your dull Dark silver selections...or not!
I have cooper black side vents on the way to replace my chrome S ones. My bronze Rota C8's should be showing up this weekend, installed next week, i hope!
And i think that i'll be de-badging the rear as well. Plus, i REALLY want to see the beltline black-out in person. on the fence on that one...but it looks good!

The beltline blackout was extremely easy! I've got enough leftover tape to do two minis, so if you'd like to use it, just let me know and I'll bring it along whenever we plan a meetup.
Justin and I will be installing new grills this weekend. My aeros are ready to go on and he will hopefullly have his M7's by then.
What are these Rota C8's you speak of? Do you have any links?

I love my all messed up, sucking down too much adhesive remover hair :-)
BTW, not sure if anyone has done the ol' drill out the airbox mod before on a cooper...I can't really tell too much of a difference. But we're going to get CAIs soon enough anyway...
Aero Grill was a piece o' cake. Nothing to worry about as long as you have patience, a steady hand, and don't mind pieces of burnt plastic in your eyes. My advice, wear goggles when cutting.

D'oh...didn't see this until now....

looks like this:

I had a 15" set on my miata for years...great rim. My brother has an FC rx-7 that he had a set of teh bronze 16" C8's on...isn't using them anymore. Just need to hook up with him & get them!

Loks like you guys has a great time sniffing glue, as well...always a good thing!
so, Justin's car has the grill, and Minisian's has the tint...
I need more into on that there tint...what shade, where, how much...all the good stuff. I want to tint both out MINI's, but i don't want to go too dark (or light for that matter!)
I'll have to get in on the "we are meeting up" e-mails. I'll send you my email....
