I’m getting an all anthracite interior (headliner & "interior surface") – now that they have made the speedo housing anthracite, are the spokes of the steering wheel the only thing left that will be silver?

Not to mention your speakers, if you've got the HK system (think they're anthracite with the stock system)

I just got my 2006 MCS, it's a 11-14-05 build. I have the anthracite surfaced interior, but the standard headliner. The tach's ring is silver, but I'd read that they are going to be anthracite, mines not. My MF steering wheel has silver spokes. The hand brake handle has a bit of silver, the speaker grilles are anthacite on my nonHK radio. My speedo ring is anthracite, but I believe it's been anthracite for quite a while. It is on my friends 03 MCS. The faces of both the tach & speedo are silver.

The article in MotoringFile implied that anthracite interiors now come with anthracite tach rings, but reports from new owners still indicate that they are getting silver tach rings, and I think the article may be incorrect. As far as I can tell, the anthracite tach ring is currently included only with Piano Black interiors.

For those of us who were hoping to retrofit, RealOEM now does list an anthracite trimmed tach (or speedo/tach for Nav), but only the entire instrument part is listed, not just the trim piece.

 

We took delivery of our 06 MCS the third week of November. It has the anthracite interior, but we did not order the anthracite headliner. Here's what is still silver plastic inside:

--the tachometer housing ring
--steering wheel plastic (except for the chrome ring and the MINI logo)
--front door speaker housings (we have the H/K system)

I'm not looking at the car right now, but that's what I remember.

If anybody starts producing anthracite tach rings and if they are easy to replace, let me know. . . .
