Hello! New owner of a JCW MCS...any others?

Hi All! New to this forum and the proud new owner of an 06 MCS with the factory JCW...

OPTIONS
Astro Black
Octagon red/panther leather interior
anthracite roofliner
anthracite dash
Sport Chrono Dash
JCW 18" wheels
Complete JCW tuning kit with JCW brakes(factory installed)

Anyone else new with an 06' factory JCW?

I LOVE IT!!!! I have NEVER loved a car like this one! It is everything I dreamed of and more. I tested the MCS and loved that....I hoped the JCW would impress me and it REALLY does...it's love.

Welcome to the JCW family, Gurl!

I love my 05 MCS JCW (Jet Black/Jet Black) like no other car I've ever owned either!

JCWGurl,

Did your MINI have any special badging with JCW since it was installed from the factory? I have the same option on my MCSC that is due next week.

Would be interesting to see pictures of the badge placement from the factory. Mine's an 04 with JCW 200 added at delivery with the 210 upgrade about this time last year. It's a good running son-of-a-gun. Enjoy yours and post pictures when you can.

It has the JCW badge on the lower front spoiler, back driver side hatch, on the red brakes, and the tuning gear under the hood (also in the center caps of the JCW wheels)....I'll post some pics soon.

It is lovely and understated...like the BMW M series...fast as hell but without any crazy mods to the body or huge badges...it only matters to me that I KNOW it's amazing. Well...me and anyone else who appreciates Mini

Hey JCWGurl. I don't have a JCW, but I have close 2 1/2 years of motoring experience in and around Winnipeg

Your new MINI sounds very sweet. If you ever motor up Gimli way, let me know, I'd love to meet you and your MINI.

Keep your eyes open for a 03 Cooper, BRG/W, CND flag on the antenna.

Big black Lab in the back. We come in from #8 and head south on north main every morning.

I would love to see your 06. I go in for my 4th service tomorrow at the dealer, hope to test drive one.

Welcome to NAM, and have a great time with your MINI

I have to laugh a bit at that...My M3 has at least 15 "M" badges on/in it just in case you forget. I ordered a JCW car originally but got tired of the production delays. I'm glad to hear people are finally getting them. Congrats.

Thanks! I would call it far from sweet...more like FIERCE! If you hear the whine of the Supercharger around Winnipeg it's bound to be me or my fiancee driving the car to it's max (as any performance car should br driven ). First JCW in Manitoba we've been told.
Can you PM me if you have some info on Mini clubs around town or events, please.

A question for all you new JCW owners...

Is it really worth the extra 6 G's for 37 hp? (I know there's a lot more to it than that, but you know what I mean).

I presume that all of you would say "yes" since that's what you decided when you bought your car :-) BUT, as a prospective buyer I'm trying to feel out that fine line between JCW and $6000 vs. saving money and/or going aftermarket.

Thoughts, suggestions, flames?? ;-)

Thanks!

I think if you are going to do it from scratch, take that $6k and buy twin charge.

otherwise..i like my jcw...although more expensive from factory it is backed by BMW/MINI's bulletproof warranty.

Congratulations and welcome to the JCW club.

... although not everyone here in NAM will consider it a club worth being in, but I do! Love mine every day... as soon as the engine is warm (judged by temperature needle), I'm making it scream all the way to the redline, and loving every second!
