Even though I'm making sure to shift between 3000 and 4000, I'm having a lot of fun driving this car. I can't wait to unleash her and hit the higher RPMs!

Btw, if anybody wants to see a write-up of my wonderful experience at Sandia MINI, let me know and I'll be happy to post it. I wasn't sure if this is the right place for such a lengthy post.

Hmm i have an ipod adapter as well, but the sound quality is pretty horrible.
is there any way to adjust the sound while your ipod is hooked up to the mini?

I do not believe that the stock iPod adapter allows you to access the iPod controls while connected. You will have to make all of your adjustments while it is unplugged. To get better sound, we tweaked the bass and treble on the head unit because damn, that stereo didn't sound good with the factory settings.

Probably the only mod I will make to this car is a small amp and better speakers.

Congrats jeff71! The color combo you picked is surprisingly quite nice. Are you planning to put any bonnet stripes on her?

Flynhawaiian, I'm so glad that you're finally getting your car. It's about time!

 

No plans for bonnet stripes. I really like the look of the hood without them.

We originally wanted purple with a black top, but the dealer said that it couldn't be done. So we went with white and after seeing some pics of purple with the black top I've totally changed my mind and love the purple / white combo.
