I've got exactly 2500 miles on my MINI. The oil service indicator estimates 7525 miles until official oil change.
Also I just noticed that the MINI wings emblem on the horn on the steering wheel has the point of one wing sticking out (rather than being recessed). I don't know if it has always been like this, but I probably ignored it because it didn't bother me. But now that I'm wearing short sleeves, the point could now cause a minor injury to my bare arm if I'm not careful. (UPDATE 5/31: I've just read the postings about this problem.)

well tomorrow I go on my first real 'run'. still haven't gotten clear bra so I'm starting to think I'll just respray it in a year or so (my cousin is an ASE auto body tech so I'll just pay for materials). either that or if I get a chance to wash him (I doubt it) I'll get some painters tape and mask off the front
MIB turned over 7,100 today. We went on the D&R/MINICCI Hold'em/Poker Run Rally, Did lousy in the draw but had a great drive. I did get my first scrape on the wheels. My bad so don't blame MrsDiff. Clipped a curb with the passenger rear when turning around for a missed check point. Still had a Fanstastic drive with 34 other MINIs!
And yes that is my MINI song on White Roof Radio!

Wow, I have to go all the way to page 3 to find this thread. This post will fix that.
I'm finally past 5k. I'm at around 5800 right now. In the last couple of weeks we've put on more than 2000 miles. Had to drive to Minneapolis this past weekend to get the rear window washer fixed after 3 months of being broken. I have to say that I wasn't that impressed with the service. They lost my car when I came to pick it up and when I got home, I noticed that some washer tubing was crimped in the bonnet.
Found a really neat road (HWY 84 through Longville) with some nice twists and turns in Minnesota lake country. I enjoyed it a lot, but my wife didn't. The road was nice, but the bugs were not; my car was just covered with guts both big and small.
Car handles heavy rain like no other. I just love the auto-windshield wipers. They are the best "auto" feature on the car. We drove through really nasty downpour, torrential I might say, and my visibility was great and the grip on the road never wavered.

MIB went on its first road trip to see family. Got an amazing 38.9 mpg with windows up and AC off. Then it dropped to 35.6 with the AC on. MIB is now over 8,000 miles. It still makes me smile!

I hear you both... yesterday I gave Blue a good bath and full 303 treatment on the black plastic trim... looks great! I can't wait until this weekend when I'll (hopefully) have time to detail the interior
come to think of it, I should go take a break from work and motor around a bit... it's been a stressful day and that's a surefire way to make me feel better!

MIB and I are near twins - i guess fraternal twins if you want to put it that way. I much prefer the anthracite interior. I did not get the anthracite headliner but sometimes which i had.
i have put a few of my road trips into a journal and if schedules ever cooperate then i will add any mini-meets, rally's, etc.

, something about the monocolor does it for me. Also, just clicked 4000 miles in alittle over 7 weeks. Plenty of
per miles here.
well I met James on monday... contrary to popular belief there is not a rift in the space time continuum when 2 week 45 cars get together. It did rain like crazy... which may have been a sign lol.
MIB hit 10,000 yesterday at 7:32 pm. We were traveling west on the Indiana Toll way (I 80/I 90) Just a few miles short of the Chesterton exit.
Mileage has gone up exponentially since I changed jobs. I hope it will slow down once MrsDiff can relocate from Avon, In to Elkhart, In. I have been staying with her parents in Chesterton and it is 68+ miles one way to work.
I have less than 950 miles to go on the service clock. Will probably eat that up in the next week. But will be another week beyond that before I can get to a dealer in Chicago for the oil change.
Forgot to mention the Wednesday before the USGP, MIB lost the second gear syncronizer . D&R gave me a loaner and replaced the transmission. All is well.

Hi guys... still just over 4000 miles on the clock! I swear i drive it everyday... i have a really short commute! I was just in Portugal on vacation, beautiful country by the way, and saw a whole lot of MINI One's. I don't know alot about that model but i saw a diesel version as well as a gas version. Anyone know anything about the One?
50 miles to go. Too bad I can't do it untill next Saturday. Six more trips to Elkhart at about 138 per round trip.
Still haven't decided what dealer to go to in Chicago. D&R in Indy doesn't have Saturday service. Have heard good news about Patric in Schamburg. Bill Jacobs is closer though.
