According to the WW site there were 283 MINIs of various types loaded onboard the Topaz Ray between 13:16 and 22:42. That is a average of 1 MINI every 2 minutes. The Topaz sailed at 23:30 or approximately 48 minutes after the last MINI was loaded.

Does anybody else, other than my wife, think I might be a little obsessed?

 

LOL, you shoulda seen MY wife when I spat out the VIN when she was talking to her mom on the phone about it. Jaw hit the floor!

Yesterday, my dealer said my car is still shown "waiting for transport" although its completion date was October 7th. I'm thinking it's unusual for it not to have been assigned a ship yet with all the flurry of activity noted here. How much longer will I have to endure just to know it's on the way?:impatient

 

Have you gone to the W&W site and entered your Vin #? They have information, seemingly days, before the dealers. According to my dealer I am still on the pier waiting for a ship. I didn't notice where in the US you are located. But, if you were on the dock on the 7th and you were coming to NY, then you are most likely on the Topaz Ray.

 

I have learned to recognize the "that's a little strange look" when I tell people about where my MINI is in the delivery process.

 

I have entered my VIN there and it says no information available. I'm in Houston so my car should go to Charleston. There's a bevy of ships headed there, that's why I find it strange that it hasn't been assigned yet.

Good to hear that the twins are still together. It imght have been bad for them if they had been appart on the trip accross the pond. Atleast they have each other to get through the difficult process of AmeriKanization!

 

I also was shown on the Patriot late last week, now my VIN does not show up at all on the WW web site. miniusa shows me as "awaiting transport". Maybe switched to a different carrier other than WW?

 

Hey Guys I just called ASK MINI and was told the Lydia is on a Ship headed this way. They told me to call my MA to find out the name of the ship and when she would arrive. So all of you previously on the Courage might want to call.

For all of you South Carolina people. I was just informed by my MA that Lydia left 10/11/05 and is due to arrive South Carolina on 10/24/05. I have not as yet found out what ship she is on.

I also just got a email from my MA saying my MINI should be in Charleston on 10/24.

According to the dealer my MC is on Vessel DYVI , voyage PAMPLONA. Due to arrive in 14 days. Left port on 10/10. Will do some research to find out more.

Well, the MINI website still says awaiting transport, but ASK MINI (automated) says in route! But my VIN shows nothing on the WW website. I have a call into my MA. Glad to hear she's (he's?) finally sailing this way! :smile:

 

Status on OL was changed overnight from awaiting transport to en route. Called ASK MINI yesterday and they wouldn't tell me anything other than what was on OL. I haven't had any luck with them when ever I've called all they say is to check with my MA because the Dealer now ownes the car once it hits the docks 'awaiting transport'...called MA and she didn't have a clue about the car, didn't know what ship it was on if any, didn't even know that it was still on the dock waiting for shipping since sept! Said that they would call when it arived at the dealer mmm maybe next week., ugh .

 

My car in en route. I have a feeling she is on that KLine ship. I have a call in to my MA, she should call me back this morning.

Well, with all the confusion, I'm not sure what to think, but for the first time this afternoon, my VIN is showing up on the WW site. Says my car was loaded on the Patriot October 10th!
