Alice has left Charleston (Courage) and is now in Greenville, SC being prepped. Should be ready for pickup on Monday or Tuesday.

My baby was discharged yesterday!!

I ordered the following:
Alta intercooler with air diverter and sprayer
Alta intake
22mm rear sway bar
Alta 15% reduction pulley
M7 Larger throttle body
Can't wait to get my hands on my new baby and put these parts on. I currently drive a 2003 Ford F150 Harley Davidson Ed. with a supercharged 5.4 that makes over 400hp. I also have a 2001 Ford SVT Lightning with the same engine as well. As you can see I am kinda downsizing to a Mini and still need something that is fast.

As for SurfsUP in Vegas. I grew up in Hawaii and surfed most of my life and now I live in the middle of nowhere. But I still go every other month down to San Diego to go surfing.

Ol has us Enroute, Ask has us In transite. I wander if "In transite" is on the way to the dealer?

Congrats.

two more weeks for us West Coasters.

In the meantime, yesterday I returned my '02 MCS to stock (stock springs, stock rear sway, stock exhaust) in preparation for selling it once my MC gets here.

new week 40er

Hi all. New to this but I seem to be in really good company. My RG/S '06 MCS is due to arrive approx 11/11 in CA. I'm amazed at all of the info that you all have gleaned from all sources. I couldn't get much from MINI USA, they are just nom showing car Enroute, can't tell me any thing about ship or arrival date. My MA has been even less help if thats possible. All that I know is due to following the forums here and MINI2. Thanks for your efforts and your willingness to share.

Whoa SufsUP, you're a brave man. To basically boot your warrenty out the door right at the beginning....maybe give it a couple of months to sort things out first?

Otherwise, I wish you well Grasshopper.

WW no help to me...

On the WW site, I was originally scheduled for the Courage, then the Patriot. I know that my Mini is currently en route (or in transit) according to OL, ASK MINI & my MA. But the WW site says it can't find anything when I put my VIN number in (though it did a couple weeks ago). Frustrating! I think my MA said my mini would be at the VDC this Thursday, but I'd love to be able to track it. It's going to Classic Mini in Cleveland. Any ideas on what I can do (yes, I'm very impatient like the rest of us!). My production date was Oct. 2.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has to do this....

Who knows how long the VPC and my dealer will take before I finally see Quicksilver!

What I found interesting about the "discharge" times posted by WW was that all cars discharged in NY were given the same time. What did they do, turn the ship on end and pour them out? How else would you get 283 MINIs off at the exact same time?

I'm going to look mine over real close before accepting it, checking for any signs of body work.

1 arrived, 1 in distribution

Of the two Mini's I'm picking up next week, one has arrived, mine still says at distribution, but I suspect it's on a truck headed to Cleveland

Now that I took off so much time to get home, this is going to be a fun vacatio now, with no more than 6 hrs of driving on any given day, and a few days just to goof around along the way

I can see the journal already "Here's the Mini at mile marker 156 in Wyoming.....here's the Mini at mile marker 182 in Wyoming....here's the Mini.....here's...."

I'm looking forward to pictures from the East Coast soon.

This morning I ordered up springs and new wheels. The Euro Parcel Shelf is already here.

For those bound for Port Hueneme

Confirmation from my dealer: the first ship is still scheduled to arrive at Port Hueneme on 11/6, it's an NYK vessel by the name: Balona

The last I heard from my dealer, Zephyr was due in Port Hueneme on Nov. 11...does this mean two deliveries of Minis in less than a week, or has the schedule been bumped up? If there are two ships there could be back log of Minis at the VDC once the second vessel arrives...

I guess they'll be one big happy family!

No slip in the shipping schedule that I see.

hard to say about a backlog... the MINIs and the BMWs are processed on the same line at the VPC. When I was out at the VPC though they were saying their goal was to have the cars processed through in 2-4 days, so that would indicate that there shouldn't be a backlog by the 11th.

Oops, VPC = Vehicle Processing Center, I was thinking Vehicle Distribution Center -- damn acronyms.

I didn't know you could actually visit the VPC. Will you be able to see your solar red / silver Mini sitting there shining in the sun?!

VPC = VDC = same building

The VPC isn't ordinarily open to the public. I got in on a tour of the BMW/MINI VPC through the Los Angeles Chapter of the BMWCCA.

Nice tour photos description! I hope mine doesn't incur any damage like that one poor Mini. Any idea what percentage of vehicles suffer damage from shipping?

It's really low I know that much, but as for a percentage I don't know specifically.

Alice is now at the dealership in Greenville, SC and waiting for the clear bra to be put on tomorrow. It will be read tomorrow late afternoon, unfortunately tomorrow is our son's last Soccer game before he graduates from High School....so, Alice will have to wait until Thursday...Rats! Such is life.

Cheers
