I'll be surprised if I get my MINI on Saturday, given that I haven't heard that it's at the dealership yet (my OL info still says En Route FWIW, even though like I've said before my dealer confirms it's at the VDC).

In the meantime, it look like I have swung another ride for at least part of the weekend... 12 cylinders, twin turbos, 9 mpg, and 479 ft-lbs and it ain't mini.

Looking forward to seeing photos of Zephyr!!
It's still a tight race Roymo 'cause the MA at Schomp Mini in Denver said they don't take delivery on Sat -- so I could still be said proverbial egg

Yikes -- never driven anything with close to that amount of torque -- is it a Mercedes, Bentley, or something else?

It will be interesting to see who's car arrives first. Of course, if it's a Sunday, you win.

Enjoy that Bentley!

Oh, and your MINI delivery blog was fun reading, Rob.

Yeah, well mine will get slowed down by the addition of the invisishield. You may beat me yet!

So, out of curiosity, have you heard from MINI finance yet? I seriously doubt they'll give me a better rate than my credit union, since I'm only interested in standard financing, but I thought I would have heard something by now. Sent in the paperwork weeks ago!

I haven't heard anything about my MINI showing up so I'm thinking I'm out of luck for this weekend.

That's a good thing, because even if it did show I don't know if I'm going to be able to get away. I'm now committed to both days this weekend with the Bentley (life's so rough around here it's not even possible to convey it adequetly ).

EDD slipped to 11/15.
I've taken to watching the short video clip of the MINIs at the VDC to get my MINI fix (thought it's totally unsatifsying that there aren't any convertibles in the video!

Let me just say this: Bentley makes fine fine product, but it's a little frustrating to drive something that long and that heavy around on twisty canyon roads. Cruising along the cafe lined boulevards though, the attention you get with that car is huge.

Off for another day off making due with not having my '06 MC yet.

Maybe later today to pick it up.

Hell yes DiD -- how psyched are you?! Now you can really attack some corners, instead of lumbering around them in 4000 lb. behemoth (albeit with three times as many cylinders and twin turbos to boot).

Supposedly my Mini is also being unloaded from the truck today, and with a day of dealer prep at Schomp, Zephyr could be in my hands on Wed...

I just called Long Beach. Was told there isn't a truck there now, and they don't know when to expect one. The MA I spoke with also didn't recall getting their getting trucks on Monday.

Hmmm... Ah well, it will arrive, sooner or later.

Awesome! OL still shows my Mini 'en route,' but it finally did update with my factory ordered options today.

I still have to wait for it to get trucked to SLC, and then I have to go pick it up. If I had thought about where the port is, I definitely would've ordered from an LA dealer--I chose SLC because I have friends there. As it is, I may not be able to get it until after Turkey Day.

Hey, cool! While our car still shows as en route on OL, it has updated to show our factory-installed options, too. Guess that's progress....

It's starting to look like it's not even gonna' be close between DiD & my car's arriving at the dealer.

bummer. I was hoping we'd have same day delivery.

My OL still says "at the distribution center", the options have updated (I didn't check that before it was mentioned earlier in the thread), but the car is definitely at the dealer and I'm still waiting to hear if they will complete the PDI inspection and programming in time for me to pick it up tonight. Worst case looks like sometime tomorrow I'll be able to pick it up.

Huh ... my options finally got entered too. Maybe their system's been down and they finally got it working again? It's definitely good to have confirmation!

I got THE CALL from my MA today - our car was being unloaded off the truck as we spoke, and we've scheduled pick-up for Saturday.

DiD - your dealer must be REALLY fast if they could prep your car same-day. Gettin' the VIP treatment?

Close, but not tonight. My MINI wasn't quite ready for it's big moment in time for delivery today. I'll be picking it up on Tuesday in the AM at some point (depends on when I can break away from meetings).

So that's the way it's gonna' be, huh? Not even going to wait until my car arrives?

Seriously, it's just as well our car doesn't arrive early in the week. Da' wife wants to wait until the weekend to pick it up, doesn't want to fight evening traffic between South OC & Long Beach, or rush the buying process. Or something like that. Not sure I'm as patient as her, it would eat at me knowing the car is at the dealer, ready to pick-up.

not a chance. :impatient I finally got a confirmed delivery time that worked out with my work schedule today. I'm picking it up late this afternoon.

I hear yeah. Hopefully it shows up just in time then for an early Saturday delivery so the waiting doesn't get too bad once it's at the dealership.

OL finally says at the distribution center. It gave me a 11/20 arrival date though. I was hoping for arrival by 11/19. Anyone else's vehicle arrive before the estimated date?
