Only three weeks old & new to NAM

Greetings! I am a new 05 CR/W w/Wbonnetstrps #3 MINI owner and I have had my MINI for three weeks now and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!! I have washed the MINI three times and waxed it once! Now I don't mind when the wife asks me to run to the store for something! I live in the Ellicott City/Columbia, MD area and commute to Rockville, MD M-F. I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks. My new MINI is named Red 5 (any other MINI or MCS Star Wars fans out there?) and will soon be decorated in a subtle Star Wars theme with stripes indicating Red 5, and the Rebel Alliance and Incom (the manufacturer of the X-Wing) logos. I have wanted my own MINI for four years and have always planned to personalize it in a Star Wars X-Wing theme. When it comes to personalized deco my philosophy is less = more, so it won’t be as over the top as the cars at RoadSquadron.com, although I really do appreciate their creativity. As for the roof art… the jury is still out on that one and I have several designs I am considering. Are there any other Star Wars themed MINI/MCS out there? Are there any sci-fi, fantasy or superhero themed MINI/MCS out there? I have been looking, but haven’t found any… yet. Anyway, I am so happy with my MINI and so happy to have joined NAM. When I see other MINI/MCS I am sure to wave/flash/honk! Happy motoring and my the Force be with you all… and your little dog too!

There are several photos in my gallery... ENJOY!!

yes there are many Sci fi/ superhero mini's out there. No i dont have links or pic's im pretty sure the owner should be popping up soon. For the Starwars fan in you. Somewhere on name theres a Red mini that had a R2D2 dome head mounted on the roof of his.(look in Show me your Roof graphic) A Few that have roof Graphics from Starwars, Star trek, and other Sci Fi shows. Theres a Couple sporting dragons, elves, Fairies, etc. Also seen SuperMini, Bat Mini and the Fabulous Stoopid Girl Mini (a Must see)

Hi Red_5 and everyone else.

I was about to post my own introduction, but this thread seemed more appropriate. I too am new to NAM, have owned Oswald for about three weeks now, and also live in Ellicott City, MD. A few too many coincidences. Anyway Oswald is an 05 MCSC HB/B with white bonnet stripes and union jack mirror caps. It is without a doubt the most fun set of wheels I have ever owned.

I just uploaded a few pictures to the gallery. For anyone out there considering Hyber Blue with the Cordoba Biege interior these photos may help the decision. I think it looks great together.

HI DEESQUARE!!!

WOW that is a coincidence. Nice to meet another Ellicott City motorist! I will be sure to keep my eyes open for you and Oswald and be sure to wave/flash/honk when I see you.

Are you getting personalized plates for Oswald? I put in my first order ever for personalized plates with DMV two weeks ago. I have never had personalized plates for any other car I have ever owned. Now that I have a MINI, I can't wait for my plates!
My four choices (in order of preference) are RED 5, REDFIVE, RED5 XW, and XW RED5.

MTFBWY,
--Will

Thanks everyone.

Red 5, no I decided to skip the personalized plates, the car seemed personalized enough. I'll definitely keep an eye out for you. I suppose once the Star Wars decore is applied it should be pretty easy to spot you.
