Please allow me to introduce myself...

MCS -2005 Black with black on black and a side of black, sport pkg.
This is my first post and my first Mini. It will be here sometime this week - they tell me. Never in my life have a wanted the weekend to pass QUICKLY- but this waiting is killing me. I should have just driven to North Carolina and driven the damn thing right off the cargo ship.
Looking forward to driving this little gem and getting to know you guys in the forms.
Eagerly, if not patiently waiting...

Joey, welcome. Speaking as a newbie, it's worth the wait! Now all I gotta do is wait for the break in period to be up... *sigh*....

To all: Pleased to meet you....
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I could have sworn the dealer told me the car was sitting on a freighter in NC - oh well, once I bot the thing he probably didn't much care where it was. I can hardly wait to get rolling - the car was at the dealer awaiting detailing as of yesterday about 6:00 pm - will hopefully get to pick it up today. Which reminds me - gotta go get a shovel and clean out the tired old Jeep I'm trading in.
Just how long is the break in period anyway - its about 2200 miles to Vegas, doesn't seem like it would be a very fun ride if I couldn't open it up!
Thanks again for the great reception, I'll see you guys around I'm sure.

Joey the breakin is 1250 miles, no more than 4500-5000 rpm, dont floor it, vary your speed and rpms, very little CC. look at a map, calculate 1500 miles or so of break in slow/fast driving, then go to the nearest MINI dealer (call before hand and make an appt) and change out the oil/filter, and let her rip to Vegas--and beyond jimbo
