I live in South Carolina, USA, about 15 miles from the BMW USA factory. I’ve owned a 2011 Mini Cooper convertible for seven years and only have about 22,000 miles I recently came across this website and found it very helpful in solving a problem I had with the convertible top that wouldn’t fully open up. The local Mini Cooper/BMW dealer wasn’t very helpful and excessively expensive in their estimate to repair it.
My current problem is with my seatbelt. The seatbelt is locked and I’m unable to attach it to lock it in the belt buckle, and wondering if any other Min Cooper owners have experienced the same problem.
My wife loves her little convertible, but I’m disappointed that a car with only about 22,000 miles has had two potentially very expensive repairs.
I wonder how many Mini owners have had similar problems.
Thanks for any feedback.
