New Guy from the Rubber City

Hi, I'm Cam, from Akron, Ohio.

I've always liked the "new" MINIs ever since they came out. The first MINI dealer in Ohio was built just a few minutes from where I grew up, and one of my high school friend's dads bought the first Mini Cooper S in the state. I rode in the back of it many times. I decided it was finally time to get a MINI for myself, so I'm looking to order a 2022 Mini Cooper S 2-door hardtop. This is the build I'm looking at:

-Signature trim
-British Racing Green IV metallic w/ black roof & mirrors
-17" Tentacle spoke silver alloy wheels
-Carbon black leatherette/Piano Black interior surfaces
-6-speed manual transmission
-Premium package
-Black bonnet stripes
-Performance summer tires
-Headliner in anthracite
-Panoramic moonroof
-Standard exterior trim

I'm going back and forth between the Piano Black exterior trim and the standard chrome (leaning towards chrome). Besides that, just trying to find a dealer that will give me a great deal, and then beginning the long waiting process for my new car. Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like the long wait will be over soon.

Welcome, we are not too far away.

Sounds likesome good option. Most people are doing the piano black. If you want to keep it classic, do the chrome.

Mini Mike? Is that you? I don't know if you remember me from my days on the BMW team.

I'm hoping I can find some photos of both trims with the British Racing Green IV Metallic paint before I decide.

Hi Cam,

Welcome to the forums,

That’s one awesome MINI configuration. I love the piano black exterior trim and waistline.

I have to agree with ECS classic = chrome

I am still here, did not realize this was Cam. Glad you are getting a MINI. I still have both of mine and my range rover.

When you get it post up some picture.

Thanks again for the warm welcome, everyone. I put my order in on Friday, it should be built within the next couple of weeks barring any more semiconductor-related shutdowns.

I'll be sure to! I already have an appointment for window tint, PPF, and ceramic coating right after it arrives in late July. After that, I'll do a full photo shoot and post it up! If ECS ever needs it for product photography...well, you probably still have my number. I have a pretty long wish list, starting with wheel spacers to get the stock wheels flush.
