Hi all. My name is Bill, and I'm from the Portland-metro area. I made the jump from Jaguar to Mini, and so naturally the first thing I did was find the forums.
My Mini is a 2015 Electric Blue Cooper S. I love it so far. Hope to get to know more about Minis over the next several months.

Thanks! What's interesting is I haven't found a single pic online of the same model and color WITHOUT stripes. Makes me wonder if the hood was replaced or stripes removed.

 

I think stripes might be a dealer add on. I like it without the stripes, they just get in the way when waxing, and 11 years of sun and turbo heat doesnt do them any justice either.

 

Stripes are more often added (or taken off) to personalize our MINIs. I started without, went with red stripes for 2 years and now have gray. MINIs are one of the few brands that don’t look weird customized.

The blue looks great. In my opinion, all MINIs look better in bright colors.

 

We had a 2016 blue with white top and no stripes. Leased from MINI of Portland whom I actually despise.
