Hello all , I purchased a 2011 Cooper S for a commuter car to go to and from work in (120 miles round trip) and my Ford Super Duty was only netting me 15 MPG .
I didn't know much about them , but what a great little car I really like this thing . I'm averaging around 35 MPG and the fuel savings alone is more then paying for
my Mini . Its got a lot of options , runs strong , and is in great overall shape , who ever owned it before me must have really liked the car . I have already done a drain and fill on the transmission .
(6 speed manual) , removed the rear seats , (making a nice finish panel as we speak) put new sneakers on it and had it aligned .
I will say , the day after I purchased it , I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals and when I hooked it back up it fried the foot well module , I called the local dealer and he told me
it was covered under an extended warranty , I was pretty happy about it and he got me in and out that day , pretty much the best service experience I have ever had . Anyway , before
I get too carried away , I'm glad to be here and look forward to interacting with the group !

I still have my S.D. but since I got my MINI (3 weeks ago) I have only put 68 miles on it , that's a good thing !
