Welcome to NAM
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the site....Have a racing Mini which is heavily modified on the suspension side, with JCW parts, including roll cage (back seats are rendered useless), JCW head and intake, 22mm rear anti-roll bar, strut brace, 16-inch alloys on Pirellis (mandated size/spec tyre); polyurethane bushings (engine and suspension), adjustable dampers, G2X Data Acquisition system (best thing since sliced bread, right next to the rear anti-roll bar!).
Have noticed that, when driving on the street, I have to make more trips to the dentist, as the ride jars my filling loose....but it's the most fun anyone can have with their clothes on, so I don't mind.
Racing takes place here in Bahrain on the Formula One circuit, which is very smooth and generally hotter than...well, 55 degrees C (ambient!)...tough on brakes and tires.
Anyway, this site is excellent, and I'm looking forward to learning more....will probably end up buying a Mini in the States as well...hope the service is good at the dealerships there, as I'll only drive it once a year.

First time in NAM
Hello miniheads....This is my first time in this or any other forum. My love for minis goes way back. My first car was a 3 year old 997 Austin Cooper(they really weren't calling them all minis at that time). I got my '03 Cooper S three years ago after a long wait...35 years! I would have bought a new Cooper S in '68 but they had stopped bringing them in that year and I wound up with an Austin America disaster instead. Well, I guess this is a start. Ken (I've signed up as Southernmostminiguy because I live in Key West)
ok... i'll stop lurking and actually post something... Hi, I'm Ashley from Texas and I own a CR/W '06 coop and i've been on the miniusa owner's lounge for almost 2 months and the metroplex mini site for almost a month and i started here today... yay, go me... umm... my mini's name is Draco, he's my little fire breathing dragon, one day he'll have claw-ripped stripes running from bonnet to boot, can't wait... and i've never been to a mini cooper event or really met a mini cooper owner... but i've passed a few going down major highways
i guess that's enough about me...
i guess that's enough about me...
Hey everybody! My baby is making his way across the Atlantic right now. We hope to be united in the next couple of weeks. The wait is driving me nuts :impatient but reading through all the info that's posted all over the different forums here is great preparation for my future motoring fun! Thanks for sharing with me!

Did someone say "roof decal"????
My newest addition to my ChiefsMini is a full sunroof decal of the Kansas City Chiefs arrowhead!
finally done lurking...
Greetings all!
First off I want to say thank you to everyone who has posted in all the various forums - I have learned so much and gotten so many questions answered, including the ones I didn't even know to ask! This has been, and I'm sure will continue to be, a font of great information!
Our mini is now a little over 2 weeks old and has already been on 2 roadtrips! We ended up buying it from Concord Mini (just north of Oakland, CA) after Brecht Mini here in SoCal had my order bumped by the factory. By the time we were informed that we could place an order for an '06 after all I had already located the closest match to what I wanted and bought it. We ended up with more features than we originally wanted but I find I'm liking the extras. We drove it home down Hwy 1 and just got back from T-Day in St. George, Utah.
We have an MCS, HB/white, white sunroof graphic, weathertec wind deflector (a MUST - aesthetics be damned, comfort over fashion in everything but high heels!), premium package, H/K stereo, and leather seats (heated for all the good that does us in SoCal)
I have some specific questions and comments that I'll post in the appropriate forums but I do have a general question here - can anyone please explain for a Mac person how to get the HB club badge added to my sig and how to post thumbnails that link to the full size image?
Thanks again for all the great advice and I'm happy to be a mini owner!!

I figured out how to add a pic to my gallery but not how to post a pic within a message - sizing issues. Any advice?
Thanks!
