I've been browsing this forum for a long time now. Lot of very useful info here! I thought I would introduce myself to you guys

I'm Charles, 30yo from Toulouse (France). I work as a calibration engineer and I own two Minis, a '05 R50 Cooper CVT and a '06 R53 factory JCW.

I love these cars, I previously owned a Renault Sport Clio 197 and a VW Polo GTI 1.8TSI. Both cars you might not know about since they are not sold in north america

Congrats on owning Two Minis'!
I daily drive a 2006 MCS JCW and love every minute of my drives!

 

 

 

I visited Toulouse a lot times (for work) during the period of 2007 to 2014. I have good memories in the Place Wilson/St-Georges, Capitole, and Compans Caffarelli areas...I stayed at most of the hotels in that area. A lot of fun, good food and nice restaurants! Anyway, it's great that the 2005 MINI is still on the road. You apparently take good care of it!

Here are some pictures of the cars. I have to say I miss the Clio, incredible chassis!
Both Minis are Astro Black metallic. The JCW has Checkmate package, chrono pack, Recaro seats, carbon dash, xenons, LSD, and 2 sets of wheels.
I don't have pictures of the R50 but she has a nice interior as well

I assume you were working in aeronautics or automotive industry to come so often in Toulouse

 

Great looking Checkmate JCW and it has the chrono package too! A great combo!
