Hi all.
I’ve browsed the forums here occasionally over the past couple of years or so as I was trying to decide which car to buy next. My old car was a 2006 Z4 M Roadster, which I had for nearly 10 years. Prior to that, I owned a Miata(also 10 years).
Ideally I would have bought another used car, but it’s being nearly impossible to find a convertible, manual transmission, bright color, and personality.
So, after debating between a new MX5 Miata and a mini, I took the plunge , and I’m now a new owner of a Caribbean aqua 2019 JCW convertible (iconic trim). I ordered it in late October and picked it up the weekend before Christmas. Unfortunately, after I took it home and tried to set up various features, I couldn’t get Apple CarPlay to work (also no traffic info for the navigation). So, I have a new MINI, but it is in the shop as the dealership and MINI/BMW tries to get everything working. Hopefully everything will be sorted out soon.
Hello, wow you got the launch color for the F57 and its a JCW car and a manual. Wow the list price on that must have been $$$. You have got a rare one. That interior looks great on the Aqua.
Looks great! Hopefully get everything figured out soon. Really contemplated going with Aqua since it's only available on convertible and is a fun color, but went with Starlight since I prefer darker blues.
Thanks for the welcome! I love this color - it almost glows. I also really liked solaris orange, but after I saw the aqua in person, it won.
Patience paid off and I got my car back yesterday, and everything is now active (woohoo!). It involved coordination between the service dept. and Connect Services to have someone remotely connect to the car and fix the bad/missing settings.
