There is a ton of information for your R50 in the gen 1 area. The help here will keep your Mini running well and keeping you happy.
Make sure to get the maintenance caught up. It is important to only use full synthetic oils. If it is manual, Redline MTL is a good choice. If it is automatic, it is vitally important to change the oil and filter every 30K miles, as they will have issues, if you do not do this.
An R 50 on this site will also use the name Justa, which differentiates it from the "s" model. It is not ment to say it is a lesser car, only that it is not supercharged. Many of us have both, which is another point. Many people here bought their first Mini and now have multiples.
