New '05 R53 Purple Haze owner

This car was my dad's pride and joy. He's passed away and now I have it. I'd like to soup it up.

Welcome to NAM. Appears he kept the car in great shape and glad that his son is now going to enjoy it.

Welcome to NAM! The paint looks great! What do you have planned mod-wise for it?

Well, getting windows a light tint tomorrow. I'm going to have some dents taken out of it next week. Within the next couple weeks I think I'll be getting smaller pulley, cold air intake, water pump, and tentioner maintained. Sooner than later, I want to give it a very aggressive stance with coilovers and leaning towards Rota Grid V wheels for looks and price.

Ordered and arriving next week are new head unit (with Bluetooth), an armrest, and rubberized floor mats.

Would like to get the JCW type matte black front grills but they're out of stock on the website I saw them on.

Probably get some sort of exhaust but haven't researched it yet.

Beyond that, should be pretty good to go.

Lovin' the color. Welcome to NAM.

If you have an S, when dealing with the water pump, it's a good time to have the Supercharger looked at.

Is it a good idea to reset the ECU using the button press procedure I read about in order to have the car "learn my new driving style"? Or, is that not necessary/advised?

I tinted car this past weekend with ceramic. 50% on front sides. 40% on rear sides and hatch. 10% on sunroof panels. And, AirBlue 80% on front window. Really liking it.

Sorry this does NOT reset the ECU. It is an instrument cluster reset and false information that has been out there for years. So don't bother.

I installed this center armrest last night. Wow, really liking it. Perfect spot for my arm while driving.

Also added wheel locks last night as well.

More parts are on the way.
