Welcome to NAM and MINI ownership. I must admit that I had never heard of Suriname and did a quick internet search. The description of the roads that included excessive speed, few traffic lights, and unpredictable driving habits by vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles may make a MINI a perfect vehicle to drive. The excellent handling of the MINI should be up to the challenge.
